Cordy Glenn was named the starter at LT...

I like this move a lot...

If he's the "real deal", the Bills need to find out sooner than later:

I like this move as well, might as well let a young guy give it a go rather than holding him back. I have confidence he'll do well at the LT spot.

Just want to say Gilmore was looking awesome matched up against SJ13 at practice on Monday.

Gilmore immediately playing well and McKelvin etc rebounding from last year is KEY to our success this year.

            Re: Official Buffalo Bills Thread

I watched a bit of the game tonight and well, the defense was very good but as soon as they got punched with that deep pass by Big Ben near the end of the 1st half they crumpled up like a cheap suitcase. These guys on defense need to have a stronger constitution and hold up against these things better.

Other than that I thought the 1st teamers looked pretty good more or less. In regard to the backups....Vince Young tried way too hard out there and it may be costly. Tashard Choice on the other hand was VERY good carrying the ball.

The potential for VY to become Fitzpatricks backup had come very close to an end. It's reported that the Bills and Seahawks have come to terms on a trade sending Tavares Jackson to the Bills and the Seahawks getting a late round pick. The only thing that's holding the deal up is the Bills want to get a new deal done before bringing him in. Thoughts?

Serviceable QB who's shown flashes of good play but I don't think he's ever been given a truly fair shake. He'd be a good backup and wouldn't lose any games if Fitzy should go down for any length of time.

I think Jackson would work very well in the Bills offense also.

BTW, heard this on the radio so could be plenty off on it's validity but I heard VY has been cut and tweeted that he's done... as in done with football.

Yeah he's done with the Bills at least. I feel like he could catch on somewhere as a backup. Although he couldn't beat out Tyler Thigpen who is god-awful.

If he actually said he's done then I think that rules out catching on anywhere. Shows where his heart is, and even if he goes back on that claim, what team wants a guy who's struggled to grab a job and has threatened to quit twice?

I don't know whether thigpen will still be there or not. I've heard that gailey is planning on having smith as his 3rd QB

I have never understood the appeal of Tavaris Jackson...

                            Cut VY?

                            Fine

Give T. Jackson the nod over Thigpen?

                            PLEASE!!!

I'd just give the backup job to Brad Smith and be done with it...

Is Jackson REALLY that big of an upgrade over Smith?

Esp. with little / no experience with the system / team?

Who were the other available options that the Bills passed over to trade for Jackson?

Am I the only one who would like to see Brad Smith return to a receiver like role? I thought he showed some promise last year when we had practice squad guys on the field.

You're not the only one. I'm not interested in Brad Smiff as backup QB.
