safety ai broken in madden too?

i just watched the video on ign where greg miller plays as the bears, and josh looman plays as the lions. i have experienced the safety ai bug in ncaa, and it seems to be present in the video that they posted. the safeties are constantly getting beat, and leaving the wr's completely wide open for long bombs. its not every time but there are a few of them that arent thrown to the receiver, but you see him open down the field. i really hope this doesnt hurt madden as much as it hurts ncaa. any thoughts?

I haven't seen the video but maybe the person who is controlling the defense has done a run commit. From my experience in the demo, if you do a run commit and are wrong you will consistently get beat deep. Also, was it a play action that caused the safeties to bite? That could have caused them to be beat deep. Or just that the safeties are simply not good enough to be able to cover elite wide receivers (like Calvin Johnson from the Lions).

Im not sure what retail is like, but they were playing on default difficulty settings. In the games I've played in the demo on the second to last difficulty it seems like the safteys are harder to beat then they were in ncaa.

some of them may have been coincidence tied into play action and such, but a few of them were completely blown in the same fashion of ncaa. again, hopefully it was just how they played their individual defenses. i'll take another look at the video in a little bit.

Safeties get beat all the time in the NFL. Realistic. haha!

ha im just going by what i saw. thats good it isnt broken. im certainly aware that safeties get beat in the nfl. thank you for clarifying to the people that actually helped in the thread. just re-watched and im still a bit concerned, it seemed the secondary was getting burned 80 percent of the time. but lets hope im just being paranoid because of ea track record with these games. i am very excited or madden this year. thanks again to those that helped and clarified.
