This review seems fishy to me, he says it's the same game basically? I mean if you don't like it or don't see enough improvement that is one thing, but to say it's the same game? I don't get it

Re: Gamespot Madden 13 Review
Gamespot never gives Madden a review worth reading. Of course everyone has their own opinion but IGN is better. Gamespot has never been fond of Madden and always tries to find the negative points and over-exaggerate Madden.Comment

Re: Gamespot Madden 13 Review
This guy definitely playing with blinders on. I understand that ppl are upset about how EA took out things ppl really enjoyed but to practically say they put out the same game is atrocious. There are some grea improvements and the game is headed in the right directionComment

Re: Gamespot Madden 13 Review
I agree. It sounds fishy. Some notes I took
"fun yet forgettable" and this to me is insane. Like the game or not the one thing M13 will not be is forgettable.
Animations are "stuck in the mud" - WTF??!!! Really?Comment

Again what pastapadre said comes to mind : reviews for sports games are always a year late.
I imagine madden is getting knocked for a sub par 12'. That's not to say 13 should get a 9, I have no idea since I haven't played.Comment

Re: Gamespot Madden 13 Review
Gamespot lost credibility for sports games for me when they thought the crowd noise affecting routes in NCAA 12 ("squiggly lines") was a glitch lol.Comment

Re: Gamespot Madden 13 Review
lol. I'm wondering if EA stopped doing ads there or something and they are mad?
It's one thing to have an opinion, it's another to just hate blindly. To say it's the same experience when a decade old group of core modes was ripped out and redone...that alone made me stop reading.

Re: Gamespot Madden 13 Review
Sooooo....IGN gives the M13 a 9/10 and nobody has ANY issues with that, but Gamespot gives it a lower rating and "it sounds fishy".....lol Wow some of you are predictable....
How about forming your own opinion and review and letting that be the one that matters. If you really like and love M13 after playing the full version...what does it matter in reviews? I'm only interested in how I feel about the game...which as soon as my season pass finishes downloading I'll be looking forward to experiencing. ;-)“What’s better than one billionaire? 2.....”Comment

When they don't mention one of the biggest upgrades of the game, no reason for me to consider anything about that review.
Totally agree with you last paragraph.Comment

Re: Gamespot Madden 13 Review
It seems like no one (at least here) cares about the rating. It's more so the statement in the review that the game doesn't have major improvements to previous versions.Comment

Re: Gamespot Madden 13 Review
You guys do realize he's really positive towards Madden right? I'm pretty sure this is a ringing endorsement:
Despite a few small issues, Madden NFL 13 is the best version of the same basic game that has existed for years. Nominal improvements in most aspects create a more believable experience, both on the field and off, and the expanded career mode lets you decide how much control you want in creating your team. But these changes never go beyond what you'd expect for a yearly sequel. And though the aesthetics have been improved, the core gameplay lacks the dynamic changes that make the real sport so exciting to watch. Madden NFL 13 is certainly enjoyable, but the dearth of evolution is more glaring every season.Comment
