Here's some notes:
-You can retire from your active coach/player and select a new one. That previous coach stays active. I was able to go back and forth between Pat Shurmur, Andy Reid, Marvin Lewis and Lovie Smith without trouble in Week 1.
-I played the Browns-Eagles game as Shurmur, super-simming to the end. Afterward I switched around coaches. The Browns-Eagles score was still in effect after I switched coaches, and I could play my new team's game.
-I bring up the latter with a note. You cannot sim said coach's game and expect that to save (unless you play the game and super-sim it, I believe). I tried just simming the Bears' Week 1 game, retired from Lovie, then simmed the Bengals game. I retired from Lewis and returned to Lovie and the Bears. The previously simmed game for the Bears was not reflected. However, my original Browns-Eagles game, which I played by super-simming, was reflected in the standings. I went back to Shumur and Reid, and both had their game as being completed.
I hope that helps some. Since you have the option to turn off CPU trades, you kind of have 32-team control in a way. I think you'll still have CPU teams cutting and signing players, but it's something. Enough that I plan on trading NCAA and purchasing it now.
Side note, I noticed on Best Buy's website you can get $40 store credit on NCAA 13 through today. Believe it expires tonight.
