Quater Length for realistic games
I was wondering what quarter length everyone was using? I would like to use 15 minutes quarters if possible but was sure what acc clock settings to use. I am looking to get realistic results as far as number of plays and stats.Tags: None -
Re: Quater Length for realistic games
15 mins run down to 12-10 sec play clock works great for me.Comment

Re: Quater Length for realistic games
In my experience so far, 10-11 minute quarters with the accelerated play clock at 20 seconds gives the most realistic number of snaps per game.Comment

Re: Quater Length for realistic games
Yep, 15 minute quarters, 10 sec, slow speed is where it's at. Once you get the hang of the clock and replays, you can make the clock go fast.
Another plus is you get to actually see the field degradation and day change/night change they were talking about. The field degradation is nice because it's actually a combination of all of the little pieces torn up by the actual players you're using. At first I thought they disappeared, but nope, they all stay and towards the 4th quarter it looks pretty sweetComment

Doesn't just 1 game take like 1 hour then?Yep, 15 minute quarters, 10 sec, slow speed is where it's at. Once you get the hang of the clock and replays, you can make the clock go fast.

Re: Quater Length for realistic games
It does take some time but not that long. I will sitdown this evening and see how long it does take. Very realistic numbers including penalties once you up everything except face mask and clipping.Comment

Re: Quater Length for realistic games
Do you have all the penalties maxed out to 100 except the ones you said or what are your settings for penalties?Comment

Re: Quater Length for realistic games
Yes
Whatever you do, don't bump face masking or clipping above 60-65 as you will see way too many of these calls. Everything else seems dead on at 100.Comment

Re: Quater Length for realistic games
It's really hard for me to play above 7 minute quarters, simply because Madden is not a game of inches, but a game of Espn highlights. Very rarely can the CPU put a complete drive together except for the occasional 2 minute drill.
Even on the default 5 minute quarters the majority of the time, scores are usually to high. I'm not bashing, but many of us accept that Madden is meant to be more fun than realistic.Comment

Just curious but what speed threshold are u playing on? Ive found playing on 100 balances the big plays out alot. It's really hard for me to play above 7 minute quarters, simply because Madden is not a game of inches, but a game of Espn highlights. For me its 15 min quarters, very slow, 12 sec acc clock, 100 thresh, 80 fatigue and still messing with penalties tho i may try the above suggestion, might turn holding down to around 80 tho.Comment
