The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
I have one issue with this game...Why is the CPU running the ball so much?
Outside of editing the gamplans in Play Now for teams like the Patriots, Packers, and Saints, I don't know of any other way to address this issue in CCM because you can't edit gameplans in CCM
Re: I have one issue with this game...Why is the CPU running the ball so much?
Yeah it's pretty frustrating. I've played games against the saints where Brees has only thrown 15 times and they have run almost 30 times. It's really annoying when they run it on 3rd and long, I don't understand how this wasn't found in testing and tuned correctly before release.

Pretty sure the testers missed to many things to name at this point. I did notice though when playing the vikings that once I got ahead 2 TDs that they stopped running the ball and did alot of passing but then my guys would not play man to man and I got beat deep on 2 or 3 plays.
Re: I have one issue with this game...Why is the CPU running the ball so much?
Yep. Have seen the same run first strategy just about every time. Really hurts the cpu offense and lessens the fun factor when teams don't play their style.
Coincidentally, I was checking the stats at the end of the season and Gronk had something like 650 yds receiving and Hernandez had around 250. Both played the entire season.
Re: I have one issue with this game...Why is the CPU running the ball so much?
It seems to only be tied to the First Team. During the Preseason when the backups came in all teams turned pass happy, I was playing against Washington as the Bears. RG3 threw 7 passes in the 1st then Rex comes in and throws 48 passes in the final 3qtrs. It was about the same for the rest of my Preseason games, starters with low pass numbers and backups with huge attempt numbers. For reference I was playing 15min qtrs with 15 run off.

I could be off base here because my copy hasn't shipped yet, but:
In previous iterations, the CPU's run / pass reacted off the USER's Defensive run / pass...
So:
If you want the CPU to run less, play the run..
IF there's still a Coach Philosophy slider section, try setting your defense to 60 run / 40 pass...
They SHOULD sense you're "overplaying" the run and pass as a result...
Worth a try, IMHO...
No pass/run ratio on ccm that i have seen so far. Someone let me know if im wrong. Also i dont see any sliders but ill adjust the pass reaction slider and see what happens

Is anyone else seeing this issue?
Love the CPU running attack...but i do NOT see the cpu running too much..just on certain games they run a lot more than other games...but hey..i dont expect 1:1 gameplay to real life..that's just wishfull thinking there. Its a videogame..its not going to play exactly like the real deal to a T and have human level AI Logic...name a game that does and i'll give you a 100 bucks
The game is fun and exciting to play..the Poll proves that...a hell of a lot more people here think this game is great to good...than average to bad...the poll speaks for it all.
