Yes, completely. While I don't do a whole lot of editing mid-franchise, I do like to use updated rosters and draft classes (from here at OS
) and occasionally update breakout studs. But the big killer for me is not being able to play ANY OTHER GAME. Throughout a season I enjoy playing around with different teams' personnel and playbooks, and I usually play at least one playoff game that doesn't involve my team, for much the same reason.
Looks like I'll be sticking with '12 and the fubar rookie player models. Or just stay with NCAA. They haven't messed that up like this yet.Alumnus:
- Northern Arizona University
- University of North Texas
My teams:
NFL - Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals
NCAAF/B - Arizona Wildcats, Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, North Texas Mean Green
I find it amusing that the OS icon for NAU is 20 years (and three rebrands!) out of date.Comment

if you don't play as a created coach or legend you can play other teams games. you just have to switch coaches to the team you want to play as and then after playing switch back to your original team.Yes, completely. I must say, I usually get excited for Madden but this may be the most excited I've been for a Madden in a long time. I'm really looking forward to seeing all that the new CCM has to offer.Gamertag: IEatWolverinesComment

Ugh just saw a bucs video and some players equipment isnt correct. Some players are missing visors that actually wear them. This is such a bummer, i hope opening up equipment editing can be patched EA has been really quiet about it in fact they havnt said anything. A simple yes or no would go a long way.Comment

LMAO! I am not laughing at the poster but this is a hilarious statement given all the outrage following so many "simple yes or no" answers from devs this entire cycle, lol. That's not some shot at those disappointed by some of those yes and no answers because I have been too. However it's just funny to see it suggested that would "go a long way" because it has clearly only gone but so far when done.Ugh just saw a bucs video and some players equipment isnt correct. Which is still more complicated then '12 or NCAA, where you can actually just play a game without controlling another team.Alumnus:

if people are complaining that bad about something not being in they would do whatever they could to do it. even if it was more complicated.Comment

Re: Sound Off: Has the 'Closed' Nature of Connected Careers Turned You Away?
I would totally do that! lol ... As long as those coaches aren't retiring from the game when I make those switches. You'd probably crash the game by Week 3 or 4 if you tried to play EVERY game on the schedule. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Re: Sound Off: Has the 'Closed' Nature of Connected Careers Turned You Away?
I don't have a full understanding of CC yet, so please forgive me if this is a stupid question or comment.
From what I am reading, if we want to basically play what USED to be offline franchise, we play CC as a head coach.
How does this impact player progression for my team and other teams?
I used to really like that we could NOT control player progression and don't like the idea of earning XP to boost player stats without some automatic player progression.
I liked the randomness of the progression based on performance, age, time played, etc...
90% of the reason I played the game was to see how players I drafted would progress.Comment
