    Official "Rate My Team" Thread

Might as well make it official. Not that the thread is really cluttered, but just for organizational purposes.

Feel free to post your Fantasy team here for all to rate and dissect. It helps if you post some info about your league as well (number of teams, scoring rules, type of draft, etc.).

I'll be posting both of mine after my drafts this week and next week.

Re: Official "Rate My Team" Thread

Well a mod can feel free to delete my thread.

10 man league. Here's my team. I had second pick in draft. The person who was first took Ray Rice. Rate/Advice please!

    QB: Eli Manning
    RB: Arian Foster
    RB: Jamaal Charles
    WR: Jordy Nelson
    WR: Dez Bryant
    TE: Jermichael Finley
    FLEX: DeSean Jackson
    D/ST: Eagles
    K: Garrett Hartley

    BENCH
    RB: Roy Helu
    RB: Jonathan Stewart
    RB: LeGarrette Blount
    QB: Jay Cutler
    WR: Laurent Robinson
    WR: Titus Young
    TE: Brandon Pettigrew

My Biggest concern is Jamaal Charles outlook for season. With how many carries he will get with Peyton Hillis and his return from ACL injury. He was best available RB when I took him though.

Dez Bryant is a dufus off the field concerns me should I look to shop him around? DeSean Jackson start at FLEX or someone else?

    Best Available WR/RB's:
    RB: Shane Vereen
    RB: Bernard Scott
    RB: Rashad Jennings
    WR: Mike Williams
    WR: Nate Burleson
    WR: Kendall Wright

I've been waivering on how to handle these this year. As long as it doesn't get crazy I'm leaving them as is. But new drafters should use this thread if they can.

Yeah, it's not needed yet, but I have a feeling the forum might get a bit crowded after next weekend.

I wouldn't worry about Dez's off field issues affecting his on field play. If anything, with the restrictions placed on his off field stuff throughout the season, it might even help him have a better year.

I like DeSean at the flex, I think he's going to have a big bounce back year. Charles does worry me a little with his knee, but he's had almost 12 months to get back to full health. Hillis will take his goalline carries, but Thomas Jones did that before he was hurt and he still had a big year.

Your bench doesn't have much upside though. Helu is a question (as is every Washington RB), Stewart is splitting carries DeAngelo and Cam, and receptions with Tolbert, and Blount will be splitting with Doug Martin (and may be on the lesser side of 50% of the touches). I do like the Titus Young pick a lot though and he may allow you to trade another WR for a HB mid-season

12 Team PPR League. Call it the Hope team, as in I hope none of these guys screw me over by getting hurt (Vick, DMC, SJax).

Liked my results in the OS Auction League a lot better. 12 team PPR.

Don't know about that. First team looks good... got nice depth even if those guys do get hurt. The second team is seriously hurting at WR.

Lloyd on the Pats is boom or bust. I think DHB will build on his good year last year, but I am biased there. I can see that I'm thin at WR tho, not a real proven #1. Hoping the strength at RB makes up for it.

DHB won't be consistent... no chance. If you're lucky, Blackmon will have an AJ Green type of rookie season but that still leaves you light. I'm high on Lloyd too, but Brady doesn't play favorites... he won't put up big numbers consistently either. We're not talking about the 2nd coming of Moss here. And in his last two stops he wasn't competing for catches with the likes of Gronk, Hernandez and Welker. I'd prefer Lloyd as my #2.

And after Jackson and McFadden you've got question marks at RB also. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad team but the first one has more promise imo.

10 team ESPN standard league/auction draft

                    Let's Go To The Maehl

                    QB - Aaron Rodgers ($58)
                    RB - Matt Forte ($44)
                    RB - Darren McFadden ($26)
                    WR - A.J. Green ($25)
                    WR - Victor Cruz ($21)
                    TE - Antonio Gates ($11)
                    FLEX - DeAngelo Williams ($3)
                    D/ST - Buffalo Bills ($1)
                    K - Garrett Hartley ($1)

                    BN - Pierre Garcon ($3)
                    BN - Joe Flacco ($2)
                    BN - Reggie Wayne ($1)
                    BN - Kenny Britt ($1)
                    BN - Mike Tolbert ($1)
                    BN - Kellen Winslow ($1)
                    BN - Jeff Demps ($1)

It was my first auction draft. For the most part I'm happy with how it turned out. I did overspend early on as I assume most auction rookies do. A lot of the second tier QBs went for much, much cheaper than I paid for Rodgers, so I somewhat regret that. If he plays like he did last season though, it was a no-brainer.

Good job for your first auction. I did the opposite of you and waited too long to spend my money in my first auction draft. I would much rather spend big money on players with a high floor and ceiling rather than save a few bucks but get lower floor guys. Even so, you still managed to get another top end HB (McFadden), 2 solid WRs, and I wouldn't be surprised if Gates tops all TEs this year.

Your bench is a little weak, but in a 10 team league there should be some decent guys available each week on the waiver wire. But that's my only criticism. Very well done, in my opinion

Re: Official "Rate My Team" Thread

I have 2 teams I'd like some feedback on.

Team 1: 12 team league, standard scoring, except passing TD's are also worth 6 pts.

                        QB- Aaron Rodgers
                        RB- Jamaal Charles
                        RB- BenJarvus Green-Ellis
                        WR- Andre Johnson
                        WR- Victor Cruz
                        TE- Tony Gonzalez
                        Flex- Torrey Smith
                        D- Seattle
                        K- Dan Bailey

                        Bench

                        RB- CJ Cpiller
                        RB- Michael Bush
                        WR- Santonio Holmes
                        WR- Randy Moss
                        TE- Jared Cook
                        RB- Isaiah Pead
                        WR- Alshon Jeffery

Team 2: 12 team league, PPR scoring and it's also point per completion for QB's. 1 point per 50 pass yds, instead of 25 and it's also 6 points per passing TD also.

                        QB- Matthew Stafford
                        WR- Steve Smith
                        WR- Hakeem Nicks
                        RB- Ryan Mathews
                        TE- Vernon Davis
                        Flex- Wes Welker
                        K- Rob Bironas
                        D- Seattle

                        Bench:

                        RB- Kendall Hunter
                        WR- Danny Amendola
                        RB- Donald Brown
                        WR- Nate Washington
                        RB- Reggie Bush

                        Thanks in advance.

Great draft. You went all in on Rodgers but he's one of a handful of guys worth taking the risk. I think it worked out for you too. I don't really like Tolbert, Winslow or Demps in a 10 team league... but that's it. The rest of your team looks great, and especially your starters. And, as was mentioned, in a 10 team league you'll be able to beef up your back ups without a problem.

                            Thanks in advance.
First team looks good but I'd like it better if it were a PPR. That drops Charles and Spiller's value a bit, but since you got Rodgers that makes up for it... I'd guess Charles was a great 2nd round pick for you there.

The second team has an interesting set up. You're rolling the dice with Mathews, which is good, but I'm not too high on who you'd have to start if he gets injured during the season. And considering how many players were drafted (smaller starting lineup and bench) there are probably some better WRs available than Amendola and Washington. Neither are bad, but my guess is there are better available. Love your starting lineup though.

Re: Official "Rate My Team" Thread

12 team standard espn 4 passing td and 6 points for the rest we play 2 TE and a w/rb flex
4 bench spots and 4 is the limit of wr/rb we could have

                              i had pick #9 so i missed out on the big 3 rb's =l
