Re: #8 Michigan vs. #2 Alabama
Alabama is pretty much ahead talent wise from top to bottom. Except for QB. That being said, I expect Michigan to put up a fight, and an SEC team scoring 30 points or more is still not very common unless it is one of the DII schools they routinely schedule. My pick....'bama 28...UM...21.Comment

Re: #8 Michigan vs. #2 Alabama
Michigan comes in with nothing to lose. That makes them dangerous if Alabama takes them lightly.
That being said, in my mind Alabama has a 95% chance of winning.Comment

Re: #8 Michigan vs. #2 Alabama
I Just think Nick Saban has had to much time to prepare his team for this game. I know they lost alot on defense but I still don't see Denard Robinson doing to much of anything. Close in the 1st half but after halftime Bama pulls awayIT'S ALL ABOUT THE G!!!!!Comment

Re: #8 Michigan vs. #2 Alabama
I don't mean to be a homer, but this game won't be close. Michigan might score a touchdown, but won't score more than a field goal in the second half.
Bama may be reloading this summer on defense specifically, but don't think that Saban has let these kids forget the main goal for one second. Even without Lacey, Bama has two serious threats in Fowler and TJ Yeldon, not to mention Dee Hart stepping in as much as he can as well. And that's just for starters.
I wouldn't be shocked to see this one get ugly well before half-time, then Bama will hit cruise control and take it easy to seal the victory for week one. Bama, 34-10.
**This may seem far fetched or homer, as I said. But looking back through other comments, it isn't so bad after all.Comment

Re: #8 Michigan vs. #2 Alabama
Think so ?
Alabama was one of the few teams to isolate Cam and keep him from running wild. They forced him to pass the ball to beat them.. Granted, that was two years ago and the Alabama defense looked much different, but it's still the same scheme and philosophy. He had a rushing TD, but it was a short yardage play. Cam and Denard have some similarities, but they are still completely different players. I have a hard time beliving Denard can take the same blows and keep moving.
I think that's part of the reason so many feel like Michigan won't be able to consistently move the ball on Alabama. Everyone is expecting Saban/Smart to force Denard to beat them through the air and let's be honest, when has the guy ever looked like a great passing QB ?
I hope I'm completely wrong and Michigan makes this a good game.Last edited by AUChase; 08-29-2012, 12:31 PM.Comment
