How Do You Make Highlight Mixes from NBA 2k clips?

I've always wondered how you guys do it. Do you record your gameplay with the Dazzle and take the clips from there? Or are there other alternate ways to do this? I'm interested in trying this out, but I don't wanna record directly from a camera cuz that's just terrible lol.

And one more question, where do the people who make mixes on youtube get their NBA clips from? (this one refers to the real life NBA clips now) Thanks in advance!

You just record the gameplay using an hd pvr or some other capture card, then use video editing software to mix them together...

This - and to add, in NBA 2K13, you can turn OFF the player icon by hitting LB+RB/L1+R1 in replay mode so no more orange circle under your players.

that's a pretty broad question... good? it's the same version as the consoles but it's 'customizable'.

i wouldn't spend any more than five bucks on it with 13 just a month away.

REALLY!!?? I cannot WAIT to get stuck into making new MJ mixes!

EDIT: I use a PVR for my clips. Costs a bit to get one, but well worth it. Outside of that, it took me hundreds of saved highlight reels i'd uploaded to 2k to make the below video....

You have to buy a device like a hd pvr for the console for the pc you can just download a free recorded and get to work. You also need a editing software for when you upload it to your computer. The free ones usually suck like movie maker.

                      Thanks Bro.

The hauppauge HD PVR gaming edition is the one I purchased. Real easy to set up, comes with all relevant cable connections.

Took me a good few hours to cut the footage and mesh the clips, but I could spend all day doing that, I love vid editing!

I use Vegas movie studio HD platinum 11

Wow! Well looks like you found your passion doing that, do you want to become a video editor for a team someday? That would be a good job for you!

Also, it looks like you got some good software, I liked Sony Vegas 9 when I had it before. One more thing, would you recommend the Dazzle for capturing video/audio if I just want to make tutorials for the game? I'm thinking about getting one for that. I know it's not gonna be as good quality as the HD PVRs but I have a standard TV that I use.

You need to get an elgato or hdpvr to capture but in nba 2k12 the orange thing makes it look unprofessional but like ld2k said they will remove it so that is a good thing all you need is a good hdcapture device now i suggest an elgato
