Hmmm...a lot of time for Saban to prepare for a run first QB who has questionable throwing abilities? Ask Jordan Jefferson how that worked out.

Denard is better at both passing and running than Jordan Jefferson.

Don't think so. It will be interesting to see if Denard's passing has improved because he's not going to be able to run for much. Alabama has the Athletes to stay in their lanes and react quickly enough to Denard's running plays and scrambles. Denard will have to do it with his arm. I don't expect to see him running too much once he gets on the field with Alabama takes a couple hits and realizes he can't run past that defense.

The only way Michigan wins is if he can open up the running game by making Bama respect the pass. He is capable of doing that. As you saw in a couple big games last year - namely Nebraska and OSU.

Unfortunately, I think Bama is going to dominate both lines, and he'll have guys in his face all day.

A big help though was Fitz taking some pressure off him with 100+ yards on the ground in both games. I question whether he will be able to do the same against the Crimson Tide.

              Alabama 34
              Michigan 17

I think it's around 14-10 or 17-10 at halftime... but Alabama wears them down in the second half and just pulls away.

It all goes hand-in-hand. If Denard's off in his passing, and they become one-dimensional on the run, they're screwed. In those games, the attack was balanced.

Denard scares me. He's going to be the fastest person on the field and it only takes 1 player to be out of position for him to take it to the house. With so many new starters on the field for the Bama defense, there will be mistakes. Hopefully Denard isn't able to take advantage of them.

I think it could be a higher scoring game than people think and I wouldn't be surprised if Michigan scored 20+

The only downside for Alabama is the 9 new starters. You can say Saban reloads and doesn't rebuild as many times as you want, but its tough to replace experience. It's going to be interesting to see how they perform.

                      Go Blue.

I think if the game is high scoring it favors Michigan. That being said, I'm with fishe on this one. Bama 27 Michigan 17.

Hopefully Denard just goes ballistic though.

I really think that SEC speed on defense is going to rattle Robinson, I can see him getting frustrated in that he won't be able to run wild and then make stupid decisions.

Tough to bet against a Nick Saban prepared team.

I think Michigan gets stomped 31-10 in one of those early "statement" games. Maybe close at the half, like 17-7 or so.

Exactly Saban has had to much time to prepare for Michigan. I think they will be ready and prepared to deal with Denard Robinson.

I know Alabama has a lot more depth and all, but I think y'all are forgetting that Michigan has two of the best coordinators in the nation. Yes it might be the homer in me, but I think y'all are really taking the "Saban has had too much time to prepare" overboard.

It's hard to prepare for Denard no matter how much time you have. You can't simulate his speed in practice.
