Re: Wonder what John thinks.
John sees the sales and is probably too old to get on FB and twitter to see all the backlash the minority of gamers is throwing at the company.
It sucks but he probably doesn't even know the half of it. If he does, he's just a sellout like all the others that associate themselves with original retail product that they send out to retail stores KNOWING it's broken.
It's more important to get their "guinea pigs" the game early so they can boast about how they get to play two weeks ahead of time and take pictures of their sexy madden cases all in the wrapper with fancy extras that were sent in a pizza box from Idaho somewhere. But, god forbid they actually look for bugs and problems with the game and ask communities for feedback.
Instead they all just give it rave reviews and say it's "the best madden ever" every year and that the support will be great and the team has outdone themselves again.
So tired of playing broken $60.00 games out of the box when the game should come without users having to find fixes for everything under the sun to make it playable over the first month or two. As is online leagues are on hold waiting for patches right now because of bugs in a number of areas.
The top dawgs don't care about the consumer. They know people will buy it every year and that as long as it looks sexy and sleek and they cater to online play it's the only thing available on the market, hence why they **** block other companies from creating competition.

Re: Wonder what John thinks.
EA is not blocking anyone from making a football game. The NFL is only allowing one company to make an NFL football game. Obviously the NFL is happy with the product they are getting or they would let other companies make NFL games.Comment

Re: Wonder what John thinks.
So EA having the exclusive NFL license, doesn't prevent others from making football games using the NFL name and likenesses? Are you sure about that???Jason and Cole's Madden 2013 Offline CCM All-Madden Sliders:

Right, and EA gives the NFL total control over adverts and music in the game; hence why it is not customizable like in the other games (which have to be due to.....OGM....competition because they have to cater to customers needs).
The sad part is, EA may be bought out by a private equity firm soon. Think **** is bad now????Comment

Lol, I chose a random state man. I got nuthin' but love for the Vandals and Boise, even though I'm a BC fan (yes I do admit it).

Re: Wonder what John thinks.
you missed what he was saying
the NFL sought for a exclusive contract, and chose EA. NOT the other way around.
The NFL says who can use their name and likeness, not any other party.
If I make something with NFL logos, staff members, etc... The NFL is coming after me, not EAFavorites
NBA: New York Knicks
MLB: Florida Marlins

Re: Wonder what John thinks.
Well then screw the NFL, and whoever makes that lame decision. So when EA's contract is up, if not renewed the NFL likely can choose to stay the route of exclusivity and we could have another company pull this same crap for another decade (barring they have the money and a sleek graphical package that looks good on tv)?

Re: Wonder what John thinks.
If you look here you see the ball goes through the receivers arm. That's how he makes the catch. That ball doesn't go through his arm like that and they don't score a touchdown. BOOM!My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10
3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.Comment

the problem here is Madden sells well
NFL will just renew with EA because of that fact
Also, what we have to realize is, the overwhelming majority of the people that play Madden, don't see the issues we see, because they are buying the game with the intent to enjoy it, and not to find fault or room for improvementFavorites
