Im using the lock down icon as soon as i can get the signature skills. Im shutting all that **** down haha -
been an interesting discussion around why these sig skills couldn't be some kind of slider. I have nothing to interject just wanted to say that, and, I agree Sa1nts....
They did pick the 5 i would've picked had i only 5 to pick out of the batch of skills we know about. Microwave sure would've fit.
And although mike couldn't really be considered a floor general like magic, he made everyone he played with better. Its a shame they don't have something for that too
Please have a closer look at Shaq's first 2 seasons. The game is there.
I suppose his 23.4 ppg, 29.3ppg and 29.3 ppg (ref: wikipedia) in his first 3 seasons were all freethrows? Jumpshots?
If backing down your man and creating a 4-6 foot shot is NOT low post skill/moves, then yeah...Shaq had no low post gameComment

I am not expecting it to be every iso. But for there to be a signature skill for it is really immature. Not something I expect from a simulation game. It happens but it is a freak thing that rarely happens. Anyone can make someone else fall but it rarely happens. Hell, I have seen Luke Ridnour make Gilbert Arenas fall years ago, should he have it.
I don't like it at all. Just put it in the game if the little kids want to see it but make it super rare. Don't give player's labels. But of course Diop or Chris Kaman shouldn't make someone fall but I don't like this as a skillComment

Ok listen to what I have to say Shump.
It is a cheesy skill. There should not be an Ankle Breaking skill for a simulation basketball game.
We have a dribbling rating. We have sub-ratings via Abilities that were introduced in 2K12.
There is no reason to have this in the game for 2K13. It is cheesy and immature.
People can fall randomly and rarely by using the Abilities/Dribbling Ratings. Why not just use that, why make the game more arcade by adding that skill?
It is childish. I really don't see how that can be argued.Comment

your right about their being dribbling ratings but that is not enough to differeniate players.
steve nash and chris paul should will most likely have high dribbling ratings right? but that Signature Skills seperates them because steve nash cannot break peoples ankle.
ratings aren't everything.Comment

Best PG in the league??? No way in hell.. He is an outstanding talent there is no arguing that, and as far as being a "player" yeah he could be more talented at any player that plays pg.. But calling him the best "PG" in the league is a complete joke... Guys like Nash, CP3, Tony Parker, Rondo, soon to be Kyrie and Rubio- those are true PGs... Apparently you don't understand how a PG is supposed to play..Comment

Ron Artest signature skills
1. Bully - ability to talk trash & start arguments
2. Brawler - ability to run into the crowd and swing on the fans
3. Lockdown Defender - No need to explain
4. Elbow of truth- Ability to elbow players and give them concussionsComment

I think rose being there equals a 4-1 series win for the bulls. Also, rose closed the gameby finishing at the rim unlike the jump shooters.Comment

I'm not sure that Rose fits into the floor general category either. I'm not hating, he is amazing but floor general would seem to fit players like Steve Nash and Chauncey Billups a little better.
It'll also be interesting to see if LeBron gets the 4th quarter signature skill. After all his failures in big moments does one season get him a pass?Comment
