was referring to these Jordans:

Of course, post-95 MJ needs the microwave and floor general as well.Last edited by JwP23; 09-02-2012, 01:11 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Signature Skills Revealed For Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin and Michael Jo
Do y'all think Rose deserves Floor General over Finisher? Rose does make his teammates better but he's a scoring PG. Rose is known for his ability to get to the hole and finish over bigger defenders. Finisher fit his game more then Floor General. 2k needs to fix thatComment

While I do think he makes his teammates better, I agree that Finisher more embodies Rose's game, above any of the sig skills, really.Last edited by Belly_of_a_Whale; 09-02-2012, 01:17 PM.

Of the sig skills I've heard of, I'm thinking LeBron's 5 should be:
Chase Down Block
Lock Down Defender
Finisher
Closer
Floor General
(And, for those saying he isn't a lockdown defender, I don't know what basketball you've been watching. He guards 1-5, and his combination of speed, power and athleticism is unmatched in the history of the game. He's one of the main reasons the Heat have had one of the top defenses the last couple years.)

Re: NBA 2K13 Signature Skills Revealed For Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin and Michael Jo
I hope there is a defensive sig skill like a "Defensive Anchor" for players like Dwight/KG/Bill Russell, etc, that either makes the rest of their team better defensively OR gives them a larger bubble that their defense can affect. Players like that have a much larger affect on how the opposing team is able to attack the paint than ratings can capture, as they are able to affect more than just the man they are guarding.

no lock down defender for LeBron ... stop this nonsense.
There is a difference between being strong and agile enough to guard 5 positions and then being able to lock down players.2K teams : Rockets,Thunder

Re: NBA 2K13 Signature Skills Revealed For Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin and Michael Jo
Based off the Classic Bulls teams that were in NBA 2k12, here are the skills I would give Michael Jordan. Note that I sm not giving him CLOSER because I feel that is a waste of a skill slot when 2k could have just kept it as a rating.
1985-86
- Shot Creator: Able to score at will in ISO situations
- Acrobat: Excellent hang time
- Pick Pocket: Great at playing pass lanes which often led to the next skill
- Highlight Reel: Spectacular dunks in the open court
- Posterizer: Dunked on people, A LOT
Honorable Mention:
- Microwave: Would go on scoring sprees, including 63 and 49 in the playoffs that year. But he had more 40+, 50+, and 60+ games during the late 80's.
1988-89
- Shot Creator: Able to score at will in ISO situations
- Acrobat: Excellent hang time
- Lockdown: Excellent on ball and off ball ability. Won DPOY the previous season.
- Microwave: Had ten 40+ games and five 50+ games.
- Posterizer: Dunked on people, A LOT. Removed highlight reel since he became less flashy. He should still pull out some highlight dunks due to his dunk package
Honorable Mention:
- Floor General: He played PG a lot that season, but really looked for his own numbers instead of making the team better.
1990-93, 1st three-peat
- Shot Creator: Able to score at will in ISO situations
- Acrobat: Excellent hang time
- Lockdown: Excellent on ball and off ball ability
- Finisher: Got tired of being bullied by the Pistons, so he bulked up in order to finish while being hit.
- Floor General: Directed traffic on offense along with Pip.
Honorable Mention:
- None
1995-98, 2nd three-peat
- Shot Creator: Able to score at will in ISO situations
- Lockdown: Excellent on ball and off ball ability
- Finisher: Bulked up even more during this time. Got to the foul line often
- Floor General: Directed traffic on offense along with Pip.
- Dead Eye: Deadly midrange at the point.
Honorable Mention:
- None
Some may wonder why I would not (won't in my roster) give him DEAD EYES earlier in his career. I want to show the difference in his scoring styles. Primarily a driver when he was younger, and he shot more jumpers in his later days.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Screenshot - Derrick Rose Rated 92, His Signature Skills Revealed
your right about their being dribbling ratings but that is not enough to differeniate players.
steve nash and chris paul should will most likely have high dribbling ratings right? but that Signature Skills seperates them because steve nash cannot break peoples ankle.
ratings aren't everything.
I am not sure how allowing a few people to make people fall really adds to the differentiation. But if that is how you feel man you got it.Comment

kind of sucks that 5 is the cap though (hey MJ could still chase-block at 38!)
but as you point out, that gives a greater change in play styleComment

Anyone else find it ironic that they used Steph Curry getting his ankles broken in that video? lol, the guy that's been plagued with bad ankles injuries throughout his career.Comment
