Week 1: San Francisco 49ers @ Green Bay Packers

This is a huge game for both teams and probably the biggest/best game of the opening weekend. 49ers fans know how important this is, as we have historically not done well at Lambeau. Throw in the fact that it's probably the 2 best teams in the NFC, the whole Smith/Rodgers thing and it being the opening week, and I couldn't be any more excited. I'm looking for a 49ers win, because I think Harbaugh will have a little something for GB and I fully expect a BIG game from Randy Moss. I believe we kept him under wraps in the preseason to unleash on GB. Even though we have arguably the best D in the NFl, we're gonna have to score probably 27 points to win this game against the high octane Packers. Final score 30-27 49ers.
"In the morning he would read the Bible with another coach. Then, in the afternoon, he would go out and cheat kids who had probably saved up money from mowing lawns to buy those raffle tickets. That's Jim Tressel."

I don't see how the 49ers can come away with a win. They are good, but I think their overrated. They are still a 10+ win team, but not a 13-3 one. At Lambeau week one, I can't see them winning. I'll say 31-21 Green Bay.
Kris Bryant doesn't hit homeruns, he destroys pitcher's dreams. #Bryantwatch

Aaron Rodger is gonna get hit big time weekend. The 9ers rush is relentless and I doubt they get a running game going to slow down the rush.

That said Packers probably taking this one because of a lack of O by the 9ers.

As good as the 9ers are, I think they are a tad overrated only because I don't know how consistently the offense can score the points needed in today's NFL.

If the Packers jump to an early lead I look for them to keep it. Don't think SF can play keep up with GBs offense.

If the 9ers get the lead and can grind it out some while keeping their lead they can win.

Week 1 in Lambeau after last years disappointment? GB all day in this one.

Can't believe this game is in Week 1. Can't wait.

I think the 49ers will have a great year but will lose this game. They will keep it close but Rodgers will end it in the 4th.

You "don't see" how the 49ers "can" come away with a win? C'mon, lol. A little too much there, don't you think?

Great test for our Offense to start the year against the best D in the NFL.

3 things I'll be keeping an eye on:

                1. This game is going to be like most of our games last year where the run game(outside of Rodgers)play a small factor in the game. I'm not really expecting much from Benson as far as production goes.

                2. Vernon Davis - With Desmond Bishop out for the season(was also our best LBer in Pass Defense)unless they want to match Woodson on him all game, I can see him getting 100 yds on 6-7 receptions and working the middle of the field.

                3. Packers' O-Line vs. 49ers' Pass Rush- Niners are one of the few teams who can get consistent pressure with just a 3 man rush and Marshall Newhouse is going to have to be on his A game since he'll probably be seeing alot of Justin and Aldon Smith.

That being said, I'll go 27-24 Pack with a Mason Crosby FG late in the game to win it.

I do, but I was exaggerating. I just mean that I think Packers will win.

Can Carlos Rodgers repeat his career year he had last year? 49ers were 16th in the NFL against the Pass last year.

                    Prediction: Packers 27 49ers 17

Carlos Rodgers has always been a good cb in coverage. His only problem was not being able to hold onto ints. He did that last year but who knows if he will again. Either way he's still a good cb in coverage.

He also either got lasik or starting wearing the "cheating" contacts last year. Could mean nothing... but even if it does, there's still a good chance he's the same player as last year.

I'll take the team that isn't starting Alex Smith at quarterback.

Really, it's that simple for me as to how I feel about San Francisco. Fine defense, but Alex Smith is holding back that team until proven otherwise.
