Maybe I made that post too long, but I just reread it and I'm pretty sure that I didn't say or imply that. I merely said a) no one has provided any science or proof that every player in the nba gets loses confident for 90 seconds after getting their shot blocked by these guys and b) I want the psychology to take place when playing User vs User, actually between the Users....not Blake Griffin's psychology vs Serge Ibaka's.



Just some hypothetical questions - say you did one of those dunks on Blake griffin against me:

• What is my (meaning me - iLLosophy) psychological state after getting posterized and hearing the crowd go crazy?
• Is it possible I (iLLosophy) could be demoralized after you did that, thus impacting how I play the next several minutes? My thoughts could be like this: "Man Mos1ted better not submit that dunk for OS top 10...that was some bs....I can't believe they called foul on me." Completely throws off my game for the next few minutes. I start 2nd guessing myself, throwing bad passes, leaving guys wide open, etc
• Is it possible you (Mos1ted) get hype after doing that dunk and gives you a boost in confidence? If not you, maybe someone else?

That should give you a better insight into the psychological game I want to play. And I'd prefer to play it without the game compounding or negating the effect

I see what you're saying, but that takes me point to my original point about this game simulating the NBA. It isn't always about how you would react in that situation; it's about how an NBA player would react to that situation.

If you look at the clip of Blake Griffin dunking on Kendrick Perkins, Perkins looked like he was about to cry. Personally, I probably wouldn't react that way if I were dunked on my Blake Griffin, but I'm not controlling myself in the game; I'm controlling an NBA player.

That's because they established a defensive culture in Boston. Did he do that on Minnesota? No. Those teams were mediocre on defense most of the time.



Tyson Chandler didn't do jack except hold down the paint. I didn't see Steve Novak or Jeremy Lin playing better defense by virtue of Chandler being on the floor.



So does a great perimeter defender. Why can't we have that?

yeah but, its six points... if They have a 55 defense and it goes to 61 they still will be horrible at defense.

The way how some of you all are reacting to the Ankle Breaker skill makes me think you failed Reading Comprehension 101and Basic Math. A 30% increase for something that say has an 8% chance of happening jumps to a whopping 10.4%. In other words something that would happen 8 times out of 100 now happens 10 times out of 100. You're not going to be falling all over the place if that's what you believe.

The way some of you are reacting makes me think you failed Basketball Simulation 101. It happening 10/100 times is way too much. 10 out of a 1000 would make more sense from a simulation standpoint but my issue is it will happen too much based on the numbers that they gave me.

I really think you dudes on here think someone falling from a cross happens more than it actually does. Way more than it actually does.

The way some of you are reacting makes me think you failed Basketball Simulation 101. It happening 10/100 times is way too much. 10 out of a 1000 would make more sense from a simulation standpoint but my issue is it will happen too much based on the numbers that they gave me.

I really think you dudes on here think someone falling from a cross happens more than it actually does. Way more than it actually does.

But now you're forgetting that only the elite ball handlers in the game possess ankle breaker. Say there is 300+ athletes in the game ... only about 30-40 odd players will have the skill. (That's probably more than the actual amount, I'm just appeasing you).

So now the chances of you coming across this sig skill is decreased even more because the pool is diluted with mostly players who do not possess the skill.

SMH at the people upset Lebron doesn't have more sig skills. As if it isn't easy enough already to damn near average a triple-double with him...

totally agree, its like even though they dont care for miami lebron still gets everyones attention over all other players. Todays "fans" are weird compared to us in the early 90s

Well there has been plenty of anecdotal evidence provided to suggest that the normal rate of an ankle breaker is about 5-6 times per year. So the 10/100 figure you're going with is not even accurate according to some.

I'm thinking the chances are in the 5-6 % range per game with ankle breaker active and then the % increases with the quality of defense, or lack there of being played on the ankle breaker.

Well considering LeBron stats are close to triple double status I don't think it's a stretch. The wrong people will abuse any videogame. That's why you avoid those people. However if the purpose of sigs is to add intangibles to players so they play more like their real life counterparts then there's no way a cap of 5 will be sufficient to truly represent how multi fascist guys like James, Wade, Paul, Duncan, Love, etc. Especially the players who are excellent two way players.

There always have been and always will be arcadey aspects to the game. Who really cares if players drop 2% more in the game than in real life?

Yea sure, that is a good sign, but then again knowing how 2K never properly implements fatigue I don't know how much of a good thing this really is.

It is a good chance that in a 5 min online game players never get under 80% fatigue so yea.......
