This looks AWFUL.
The gameplay looks like something from the ps2 generation. Terrible A.I gameplay, Awful animations. WOW. I was hoping Live would provide some competition for 2K this season as 2k12 was such a dissapointment to me. oh well.

this will be competition to 2k with sales. because when the kids see the 20 dollar price tag on the game and buy it, and the game goes gold or better 2k knows they have to comeback with groundbreaking features ,so if Ea releases the game cheaper next year they can have a a bigger reason to spend the extra money.

Uh, an inferior product to what 2k is doing isn't going to be more successful overall just because its cheaper. 2k doesn't have to do anything groundbreaking considering their game is already leaps and bounds ahead of this in all likelihood. Just continue improving as they have consistently shown the willingness to do. I don't imagine the masses will go to Live just because its 20 bucks.

Wow you might be right... I originally thought no way, no matter how bad we think Live 13 looks, it definitely couldn't look as bad as last gen.... But....

I swear some of the stuff that gets thrown around in this forum lol. Dudes act like just by having the game available digitally and because it's 20 dollars people are going to automatically buy it no questions asked. Like people download games off a Scratch-N-Sniff basis or some ****. Competition to 2K with sales? Do people even know how many sales downloadable games normally do?

I don't see this product doing well at all EA!

Why don't you just focus on NBA Jam and sell us some DLC featuring more legend players... reggie, charles, iverson etc...

I would certainly pay you 10 bucks for that type of DLC but not for this poor looking game. Sorry.

I see it as a bigger detractor since it is pretty expensive for most downloadable content, and while cheap for game standards, it doesnt offer much in terms of content. Also the fact that we are essentially test subjects for an unfinished game AND we have to pay for it is a shame.

Also we have to keep in mind that there arent a lot of people will fast internet connections or are even connected online (at least through Live or PSN). Im sure digital only will have its day in age, but now the consumer base isnt really there.
