So many interceptions

Anyone else noticing how many picks occur on this game? Seems like every online game there are dozens of picks. You throw to an open guy and before you know it some dives in front and there is a pick. Cazy

I honestly think defensive players drop far too many picks

I set my interceptions to 0 because of this.

My interceptions have gone up this year as well, the most annoying ones are on streak routes when you've clearly thrown the ball past the CB and well in front of your WR yet somehow the CB jumps and catches it as your WR has his hands out infront of him waiting for the ball... Maybe Im rusty but I'm also having some difficulty with out routes. I could just be a noob though, who knows.

this annoys me too...I get a lot of picks this way and I have had to keep lowering my INTs because of it...guys with bricks for hands getting picks that way is too much

i agree the players react to fast to ball not every cb or safety are good or lb but this yr it seems every one has cat like reflexs yea i know they made the defense better but when u are avging 4 or picks a game thats not real.im not that great @ madden but i do know even with the super lbers in 12 i wasent throwing 4 a game yea id have a bad game every now and then every qb does. but every game i've played i've atleast thrown 2-4 picks.hopefuly with patch they tone it down some.

Some interceptions are ridirkulous though. I had a receiver open on a drag route and DRC somehow jumped in front with a one handed interception

I am having a super hard time with the passing game this year. I've been playing ncaa 13 and it's got a similar passing system (took a while to get used to leading with the left stick instead of the right). All my passes take along time to throw and have no velocity. if i do try a throw on the run it bounces off the turf 5 yards away. or if i try and lead a reciever down field it'll die 3/4 of the way there and drop into the dbs hands. I've played thru 15 games and it's not getting any better i've tried playing with the sliders and online/offline careers. Can anyone give me some pointers or something...I'm not a noob, been playing madden since 08 but this year I just can't get it.

I agree with MrToo. Defenders drop so many wide-open picks, I don't know how anyone can complain that there's too many interceptions.

Strangely though, I haven't had the issues people have said here, although that may be because I don't run many streak routes. But this year above all others, I feel like a good 80-90% of my interceptions are honestly my fault. Thats in contrast to NCAA 12 last year, where I felt like most of the time, they were the result of unrealistic defense.

I've thrown 22 through 15 games with Cutler and I would have to say that 19 were my bad reads. The others were deep balls that the WR doesn't make a play on, the WR does his over the shoulder animation while the DB plays the ball.

I honesly like it this year. Throwing the ball in tight or double coverage will get picked off. I've seen some drop this year, but if you throw a bad pass to a good corner or to a safety over the top of your WR on a streak it will get pick. I think streaks get picked off by the safety way too often though.

Yeah, I think the Safety makes up gound on streaks way to fast.

I agree that streaks have a tendency to get picked, but I'd rather deep passing be too hard than too easy. Online players....
