I figured since Season Ticket is out, and others might have gotten the game early, people would be wondering questions about it.

1. How does the hitting feel when it's turned down a notch?
2. Does the pass reception slider work this year and produce less tic-tac-toe passing from the A.I.?
3. Does increasing goalie awareness or screen vision stop some of those frequent shortside goals from going through?
4. How does messing with the speed and acceleration sliders affect the skating engine?

Answers might not be perfect, but just testing out some stuff in practice mode to hope to answer more questions. I won't be answering gm connected stuff just yet, cause I wanna play games first, but I'll try to get GM connected stuff answered soon.
I guess I really want to know how the game plays on hardcore with slider adjustments compared to last year:
1. How does the hitting feel when it's turned down a notch?
2. Does the pass reception slider work this year and produce less tic-tac-toe passing from the A.I.?

1.I turned off hitting assistance and guys still seem to fall easily. I turned down hitting power as well, and the guy fell down after a hit into the boards
2.Pass reception seems to be around same impact as last year(I haven't played an exhibition game yet, so when I do, I'll see how diff it is)
3.Goalie seems to be better, but it'll really take several games to see how good or not the sliders are
4.There's no player speed option in the sliders, only player acceleration. But I turned acceleration/game speed down,and my player was just skating at a casual pace
5.Increasing power makes big difference, though I think default is already too hard
Under Customize AI you have option to build your ai or create play.
For each ai build, you can save it, so I'm guessing you can assign diff AIs to diff teams(and you can create a AI based off of any teams template in any league)
There's 3 diff heads for females(you can't do customized head for female though, so you can't really change anything such as hairstyle(though the diff head styles is diff skin color/hairstyle), skin color ectComment

Majingir, even with the new skating engine, how does the game 'feel' compared to NHL12, 11, 10, etc?
Are you noticing any differences between different teams? Will the Oilers be run-and-gun, while the Coyotes are uber-conservative?
Just broad impressions are very welcome.
I'm curious to see just how much of an upgrade, AI, wise this game is compared to the last 4 versions.

Any improvements to the commentary?
Are there plenty of stat overlays in Connected Careers? (Season stats, standings, leaders?)
Is there a news feed in Connected Careers like in Madden 13?

I'm gonna play a game right now with 5 min periods, and default sliders(on pro), only sliders I touched are hitting/passing assistance(I turned both down to 0) and I put penalties to max(both in the rules section and in the sliders section for teammates, and for cpu opponent)Comment
