Re: 2012 Schedule?
I noticed that that schedule was missing some games too. I tried to edit it but it wouldn't save the changes. If I feel ambitious I might try to make one from scratch.Comment

Re: 2012 Schedule?
Gill save your time and dont do it ive tried it rickster's tried and i think others have tried but it didnt end well for rick and it didnt end well for me
your outcome will be multiple teams have 9-7 and multiple teams have 7-8 or visa verse and if you look at every week they play the right teams and everything is accurate but when you save it saves with the teams having 9-7 and what not if you can find a way around this that would be great but i dont think its worth the time and effort it took me a good 2 hrs but if you feel its necessary then knock yourself outComment

Re: 2012 Schedule?
When creating the current schedule, you have to move around some games because in-game, weeks 3-10 are bye weeks. 4 teams each week have a bye. It's a pain in the *** but it can be done as long as you dont mind playing games in a different week or your bye week being a different week.
For 2012, create the schedule as is but then do the following -
WEEK 4 - Only two teams have a bye week, IND and PIT. Give SD and KC their bye week here and move that game to WEEK 7.
WEEK 3 and WEEK 11 need to reversed/flipped. In other words, teams that have a BYE in WEEK 11 will now have it in WEEK 3. You'll get around the problem of missed games.
Granted, the schedule isnt exactly what it is in reality but all 32 teams should be able to play their 16 game schedule, still have their bye week and even out at the end of week 10 when the bye weeks end in-game.
This year is actually easier than the last few years. Only need to make three changes -
1) Delete the SD @ KC game in WEEK 4.
2) Add the SD @ KC game in WEEK 7.
3) Switch the schedule from WEEK 3 to WEEK 11 and vice versa.
Hope this helps.Comment

Re: 2012 Schedule?
You're welcome.
Test it out by simulating the season after saving these changes in Finn's editor. I did this for the first season in which the NFL changed the bye week setup and whatnot. I know it works. It's just a pain to do sometimes but luckily, this year is probably the easiest its ever been since the bye week setup was changed years ago.Comment

Re: 2012 Schedule?
I currently dont have 2K5 so I cant test anything out. I'm simply going by what my cousin did years ago. I know how to do the stuff im posting but dont have the time, patience or the game to do it. I may buy a bulky PS2 next year but its 50/50.
You dont have to use the roster that you're working on. You can use any franchise file, import the schedule, edit it and test it in game.Comment

Hey Daniel. I used the advice you gave by exporting Convince schedule from his franchise. I used your edits but for some reason the week 3 (Week 11 w/ your change) game of NE @ BAL &GB @ SEA & Week 7 game SD @ KC are not going through. When creating the current schedule, you have to move around some games because in-game, weeks 3-10 are bye weeks. 4 teams each week have a bye. It's a pain in the *** but it can be done as long as you dont mind playing games in a different week or your bye week being a different week.

Re: 2012 Schedule?
Try deleting the entire week and enter the schedule for that week. See if that works.
Other than that, the only thing that I can think of is that Finn was able to alter the game's bye weeks. I'm not sure about this. It's something that you would have to ask him.
I know this workaround works because back in 2007, my cousin took the week 3 SF/PIT and ARZ/BAL games and moved them to week 6 and week 8 respectively. This allowed every team to have their bye week, play their 16 game schedule and kept the bye weeks from week 3 to week 10 intact since the game is programmed that way. That year was easy to work around. Other past years, not so much.
Also, after editing the schedule and going back to the player menu in Finn's editor, double click any player and just click accept. After that, close out the file (not the editor), a save prompt should appear, click yes to save/overwrite. Then, close the editor itself and transfer the file back to the respective system. Load it up and see what happens.
No bullcrap, I know this trick works because I did it myself years ago. If all these other options dont make the schedule work, then PM Finn and see what he says. He may have adjusted this problem in the editor.Comment
