Competition comes back and Madden is toast within 3 years IMO. All anyone needs is a window of opportunity and Madden will go down quickly because they've become so complacent.

not to be an a hole, but i mean come on, as soon as i started playing nba 2k1 and nfl 2k1 online on my dreamcast, online is all i play, its like going from hd, back to standard definition, it makes no sense... well thats my opinion at least, cpu's are repetitive, the few offline games i have played on connected careers, cause the team wasn't user picked, it was so boring, first game i figured out their game plan, run, run, throw, so i had to play my defense like that the whole game... can you say boring? now i elect to sim the game rather than play em

So by that logic, there shouldn't be any single player games, and even if it is single player it should be online anyway. People forget how games started while their shoving them to a preconceived future...some of us where there from the beginning and don't enjoy the cheap win at all cost tactics people use online..

I get kicked offline a good bit and I have the highest of internet wifi speeds with comcast high speed. I enjoy online, the leagues, facing human user opponents. It takes more strategy.

Having said that, I love the sim aspect of sports games. I get that offline in what I like to call "me" time. I've simmed an entire season up to this date and time with "real time" transactions in a game I like to call "MLB 12 the Show". They give me options, I use them to my advantage.

I like Madden, I play it a good bit.

I don't think they cater very well to all parties involved. Because of that I've grown acustom to Sony and I hope they take a crack at a football game one day. They'll rule the roost.

They've been doing this since back on the PS2. It is kinda annoying.

They did make a football game, it was called nfl gameday. Problem is ea's liscense isnt a third party liscence like 2k's was with baseball. Its a 100% exclusive liscense.

not saying that, some games are just made to be single player, like zelda, sleeping dogs, gta, yes i know gta has multiplayer but its rather boring imo, unless they had online campaign, other games are meant to be multiplayer like sports games, fps, fighting games, i just don't understand how anyone finds enjoyment in playing a cpu, when they get the taste of a real opponent? i remember having nfl blitz on my n64 and would never play it unless friends were over

I honestly don't think Madden will go down. They've got a great concept this year and with competition they would be forced to be innovative and not just say it every year.
