If things stay the way they are now, then maybe wait for someone to be selling it online for like $50 or something, but gamestores don't usually drop NHL prices. I remember seeing NHL12 price for like $50 in stores, well after this past season was over.

The game is totally worth it to me, but I'm a hockey nut. Honestly if you can wait, I would say wait for the first patch and see where the game stands after that.

I'm really on the fence. I haven't decided if I am going to cancel my Amazon order or not. The lack of penalties is really killing the game again for me this year. To see that it isn't fixed is really bothering me. I love realism so thus the reason for the struggle.

$60 but Amazon is offering a $15 credit towards your next order. So basically it is like getting the game for $45

Well if the person has season ticket, then they are paying ~$90 for the game this year.
I really like the game, it just has 2 major turnoffs for me ATM.
1) the penalty thing people mentioned.. Just reached 10 games played online, have not had ONE POWERPLAY yet.
2) Poke checking is insanely effective. Knokcing the puck off the stick, as well as sweeping it around is really frustrating. a 2v1 is very easy to defend and if you just camp the passing lanes there's nothing that's getting through. No reason not to either as there's no punishment for doing it, since there are no penalties. Also, lift stick is pretty useless and 60% of the time has just resulted in a penalty so I don't press it anymore.

Well if the person has season ticket, then they are paying ~$90 for the game this year.

More like $65, because you get to try four other EA Sports games as well. It's worth it if you ask me, because if you don't like the game you're saving money in the long run.

If you have Season Ticket it is not like paying almost $90 for NHL13

NHL series never ceases to amaze me in the improvements they make from year to year....this is a must have if you're a hockey fan...here are a few things I've noted so far:

1. Trade block in BEAGM is waayyy better, you can really put in a alot of detail in wait you're looking for then you're given a list of players meeting your criteria, whether they be Free agents, on your team or on another team...

2. you can now set lines for 4-on-4...which is great for OT

3. Still not enough penalties but hopefully they patch this, but they didn't last year so I'm not overly hopeful

4. When you trade with the CPU the players they would be interested in are highlighted in green so you're not guessing.

Love this game, but I say that every year
