The Shocking Truth!

Doing some research on the 2011 season, I came across some pretty startling numbers(at least to me) about individual 100/300 yard games. In 2011 the average NFL team had just:

3.75 instances of a RB gaining 100 or more yards in a game

5.72 instances of a receiver reaching the 100 yard mark in a game

3.78 instances of a quarterback throwing for 300 yards.

Like I mentioned earlier, I fully expected the numbers to be lower that what has been posted, but this was shocking. For those interested in the raw numbers, there were:

100 yard rushing games: 120
100 yard receiving games: 183
300 yard passing days: 121
