Your NBA 2k13 Ultimate Team

[Can I live]

I never played this mode in madden or Fifa (I don't buy those games) but I like the idea of it. I know you start out with a very mediocre team but once you start to move up it gets real interesting.

What type of team do you guys plan on making..ex " defensive team like Detroit when they had Chauncey and those guys or a fast paced team like how Golden State was or even a team with one star and a bunch of role players ala Lebron in Cleveland ? Also who is the ONE player you have just got to have or a duo that you would love to have on your team ?

I want my team to be a very defensive minded team (can you choose your coach as well ?) I would like Tom Thibodeau as my coach.

The one player I would love to have is Melo and if I could have a duo it would be Melo and Dwight. My preferred starting 5 would be

C. Dwight or at least Deandre Jordan

SF. Melo
SG. Thabo Selfolosha
PG. Mike Conley

I want to make my team like how I draft my fantasy teams in 2k12. Get solid a big man, a slasher and then a bunch of shooters all over. That's how I will build my team to my style of play. Just need a slashing pg, good post man, and a bunch of 3pt shooters to surround them. For the bench, i'd like another solid big man, slasher and more shooters haha. Looking forward to seeing how this mode turns out though.

Through all my draft leagues I've done, I've always went with one star player, a high quality center that can rebound on both ends and knows how to score within quick ORE positions, and usually I differ between these two scenarios: start my highly defensive minded guards or forwards and have my shooters come hot off the bench, or vice verse depending on my situation or my star player.

More than likely, I'll be focusing on balanced players that can defend properly. Not worried about offense when I'm sure that if my star player is off, at least I know I can score coming off quality defensive plays. Really can't wait to see who I get within my first pack.

Yeah, I'm really excited about this mode. I think it will add a lot of longevity to the game. I've never played it on Madden or FIFA, so I'm not really sure exactly how it will unfold. My main hope is that it's not too easy to build a team of stars. Hopefully, it takes quite some time and a lot of VC to build a dominant group of players.

I'll probably try to load up on a bunch of my favorite players and hope they can complement each other well enough.

First i wanna go for is Nick Young at the SG. He shouldn't be rated too high, and is a very good scorer. He can shoot the 3 and dunk

I really hope there is some form of balancing in this mode and not everyone just rolling with Dwight, Lebron, Kobe etc
