I thought the goalies were supposed to be tougher to score this year? I played my first game and after the first period it was 5-3 and that is on all star?

Why are the goalies letting everything in?

The CPU had the 5 and I had the 3 LOL
But playing on 10 period periods, after almost a full period, the shots should not be going in that much.

the CPU scored on 5 of 8 shots and I scored on 3 of 6 shots.

Just depends, I guess. THe goalies are tougher, but if you're getting quality shots from the slot, etc., then you'll have success.

I dont see how they are tougher the goalies are letting in way too many goals. Its worse than last year. It seems that 90% of the shots from the slot are going in. That is just unforgivable

EA's version or idea of better goalies is not what a better version of goalies should be. They either don't see how bad their goalies are or they just don't have the programming to implement a better goaltending system to fit their game. It sucks but that's the way it is.

The worst part is i jacked up goalie reaction all the way up for both me and the CPU and there are still way too many goals. I dont get how NHL 09 (I think it was) had the perfect goalies. I remember it was just hard enough to score or be scored on to make it a good challenge. But since then they never got the goalies right and its always been way too easy and too many cheese goals

I agree. The goalie AI is just as bad as last year. The goalie still comes way out of his net to STICK HANDLE the puck right by the opposing players. This creates open net chances again.

I honestly think there is a bug causing this. There is no way it is that much worse than last year.

I hope it's fixed because I've already had 2 open net goals because of this. I've seen the goalie skate out midway between his goal and the blue line to stick handle the puck. It's okay if no other opposing players are around, but that is not the case. Then he dumps the puck to the side boards and luckily no delay of game yet.

One of the worst part about goalies this year is that sometimes the goalie will go to lay down on the ice to cover the puck but they will miss so very badly and the puck just lays there in the crease at around 1 cm to crossing the line. I can't get my D to go over there because my goalie is blocking my route and I can't cut below the goalie either. My other D will attempt to get the puck but no matter how much closer I am to that loose puck, he will fail at getting it and clearing it because the puck magically goes to the opposing team's stick for a easy tap in.

I just lit up Halak like a Christmas tree. And then Elliot. 8 goals on the Blues on Superstar. Prior to that I scored 6 against Detroit, 5 against Colorado and 5 against Winnipeg.

yeah short side high seems to be a money shot for the CPUm, they got three goals against me just now and I just raged quit after the 3rd goal.

I can see getting one goal that way but the goalie should be learning from its mistakes.
