Another player people want to shade Pau with is Lamarcus Alridge. He's a better offensive player than Pau now but his rebounding is average to say the least for a guy that is supposed to be a top big man and he isnt much of a shot blocker either. Not sure how guys praise big men that dont rebound or block shots like scoring 20ppg and having a nice jumper is the priority of a big man in the league. This is one of the reason why Portland will never excel on the back of LMA.

Please tell me how bosh played below average last season? His numbers are going to be lower because he isn't the #1 option. Look at the numbers he put up while wade and lebron were hurt. Not to mention how big he was against Boston and Okc.

You must admit that Bosh needs to rebound better. If you compare his rebound rate to Haslem's you can see Bosh is not a good rebounder for his position. Average at best. I don't trip off of the points with Bosh. However, he has to board more.

Pau Gasol was good in 2010. Bosh still good but now is limited. He don't have to do everything no more but play his role. Some of You people keep sleeping on Bosh. I'm not a heat fan but Bosh to me is better than Gasol

They both can still play at a high level. If you saw Pau in the Olympics, you know this to be true. Likewise, if you saw the Heat without Bosh, you know how valuable he is to them. Pau has been rewarded with an 87 despite having low numbers from playing with other stars. I just hope Bosh is equally awarded with a comparable rating. He was underrated last year.

Just because you feel it, doesn't mean it's there.

Olympics don't really count to me as much as the NBA. Guys like Luis scola and Carlos delfino are international Jordan's but are average at best in the NBA. Pau was giving buckets in the gold medal game though

That doesn't make any sense, Have you ever heard of Dirk? He isn't a great rebounder or a shotblocker as wel... Plus I would say Aldridge is probably the only elite PF who plays decent defense regardles of not blocking too much shots

Dirk is often criticized for those things so how doesn't he make any sense?

People need to pay attention to Stats, offensive schemes, and even advanced statistics before whining about ratings. Mark shouldn't have a rating higher than Pau because Efficiency Per 40, 48, and 36 min would disagree. Stats almost across the board also disagree with that assumption.

I'm highly critical of 2k, but I have to agree with these ratings. LMA should not eminently be rated higher than Gasol because Gasol is a much better defender and rebounder. He may very well end up rating higher, but it's not like it's something that should bother you.

Perhaps his offensive prowess will end up being the x-factor that gives him the slight advantage in rating, but it doesn't even matter if he has a lower rating as long as his attributes match up to his real life counterpart. I doubt that he will have a high rating than Gasol, but it's possible.

I'm thinking he will get an 84-87. His rebounding attributes will be in the low 80's. Griffin and Love have rebounding attributes in the mid 90's and high 90's, respectively. This means he won't be higher than or on par with Love. However, his Awareness traits and post abilities might put him on par with Blake(will have higher athleticism, vertical, stamina, rebounding, etc), but there's a slim chance he will be higher.

LMA may be more skilled than those two in reality, but that does not mean he will have a higher rating. Skill isn't all that matters when it comes to ratings. The only way he would be higher than these guys is if 2k were to give him monstrous Offensive Awareness, Inside, and Close ratings.

Because the guy is assuming that you can't win anything with a franchise big man who can't shot blocks or rebound at an elite level. And that's totally false as you can see

As a Laker fan I'm thinking this is going to be to easy to win it all on association mode just based on ratings so far...hope I'm wrong though.

Gasol is getting older but still had his 2nd highest year in assists last year and 2nd highest year in rebounds as well. I think a lot of the bashing on him comes from the last two year's playoff numbers and that is fair to me, I tend to agree with his play...not up to par IMO.

Bosh will be close to a 87 as well...I'd say 85-87 rating. The whining on that can stop.
