New Ratings

In the new NBA 2k13 Developer Insight #4 - MyCAREER video its shows a top 20 list of players at 5:01.

We can now fill in most of the list:

Lebron (94+) Obviously
Howard (94+)
Durant 94
Paul 94
Bryant 93
Wade (92-93)
Westbrook (92-93)
Rose 92
Melo 92
D Williams (90-92)
Rondo 90
Love 89
J Smith 87
Duncan (87)
Nash 87
Manu (87)
Bynum 87
Iggy 87
Gay (87)
P Gasol 87

New ratings in brackets... Seems like a lot of 87 overalls

I have a few issues with this list... First no Bosh. He is better than Pau and Duncan at this point.

Also Tony Parker is the best player on the Spurs... 87 seems high for both Manu and Duncan

And Howard shouldnt be 94+ maybe like 90-92

Yes that is a top 20 list. Using the ratings we already know you can figure out what those other cats are rated.

Forgot Westbrook... He was number 7 on the list between Wade and Rose. So his rating will be 92 or 93

Bosh better than Pau? It's Close but Pau has the edge. While Bosh is a better mid-range shooter, Pau is no slouch in that department. Bosh is laterally quicker but Gasol is better in the post area offensively and defensively.

iggy should be lower than 87, 84-85 imo, but i guess his defense is what rates him so high.

Rose is better than Westbrook but its only slightly.

IMO Rose should be a 91-93 while Westbrook should be a 89-91

I can already see from your name that there's no way you'll look at this objectively, but from a neutral fan's standpoint you need to know there's absolutely nothing wrong with that rating.

Consider how offense and defense are weighted as well, Westbrook is going to get a nice boost due to his higher steal and on ball rating.

He also just...you know, TORE through the western conference during last season's playoffs. That counts for something.

Also, did you just say Wade is as fast as Westrbook?

I think he said he's not as good as Rose or Wade...and he's just fast with a jumper...

Either way, another unbiased opinion from a Cavs fan and avid NBA follower. Westbrook is a better defensive player, and is the same kind of player offensively. Rose should be around 92, and Westbrook should be around 91. Not that overall really matters anyways.

No I didn't say wade was as fast but he's better and way smarter. If Westbrook was on the bulls they wouldn't do anything he's just a shot taker don't know the 1st thing about pg. Rose iq is much higher than his and if he played with kevin Durant it would be over, that heat thunder series would've went at least 7....
Don't get me wrong I like Westbrook he's a good talent but he's not a superstar he's an all star... D wade d rose are 6 star players
