If you create a new coach, guess what? It doesn't matter what you pick, you'll be running a West Coast offense with a Spread defense. I know we already know it SAYS this in schemes, but before you were basically stuck with whatever the team before you had in reality despite what it SAID.

Now, you basically can't play as a Created Coach unless you want to run a West Coast Offense with a Spread defense for all the games you sim.

You used to be able to at least pick a team that ran the system you wanted (4-3 Power Run you could take the Seahawks, for instance) to use before the patch. Now no matter what you do you are locked into West Coast Offense with Spread defense and the Weekly Goals to go along with West Coast Offense.

Also, Run/Pass sliders don't even matter AT ALL based on testing by creating new online CCMs and simming - this is probably bugged along with the Playbooks you select at the Create Coach screen not saving.

How hard would this even be to fix? It's pathetic.

It did seem like defensive schemes might be ok. If you select a 4-3 and looked at stats, it looked like 2 DTs got many more DPs than if you selected 3-4 (in which case 2 MLBs would get many more DPs). I haven't tested this extensively though, has anyone else messed with it?

Of course, Madden is absolutely notorious for putting things in the game that appear to matter but actually don't at all. Has anyone tested as to whether Run/Pass Block RATINGS and weight actually matter now, or can you put 5 Punters on the OL and dominate still?
