Help With Faceoffs

Ok, so back in 12 this was no prob. But 13, different story.....I cant win one. Whats the trick?

It's the same mechanics really... posted this in a thread a while back.
Remember if using True Broadcast Cam, to use the "Always up" controller option.


[IF FACING UP]


Step 1:
- Left Stick left or right (to choose grip)


Step 2: When ref releases the puck...
- Pull right stick back (Hard - clean win)
or
- Pull right stick up (Easy - stick lift)
or
- Pull left and right stick up (Easy - push/lock)


The "hard" & "easy" is in my own opinion. I seem to win more face offs when doing the lock up than when trying to do a clean win anyway. Could be wrong.




Or
Step 1: do nothing
Step 2: Pull right stick up (direct shot)


That one is hard, and even when succeeding, the shot is more of a loose flip than a shot.
