Yay or Nay?
I like this trade too. Stafford will put up numbers close enough to Brees. They'll be throwing 40 times a game. He had a "bad" game last week and still netted probably top 10-15 points for a QB. Meanwhile, a healthy McFadden is as good as any back in the league. You'll be insanely stacked at RB (you already are) but you're still improving the position. You can try to trade one for an upgrade at WR or TE.

He rolled with Jay Cutler this week and after his awful performance yesterday approached me at work and said so how about Aaron Rodgers for Julio Jones, told him I'd think it over and then later countered with Julio for Matt Ryan and he is up for doing it.

As much as I hate giving up Matty Ice I think I'd rather take my chances trading him off rather than Rodgers, and even though it would be great having both Ryan and Jones on the games they put up huge stats its just as crippling if they have an off day. Great having two awesome QBs but can only start one so adding arguably the second best WR in the NFL for my backup QB feels pretty great.
Nice work.

I think people get a little too excited over pairing QBs and WRs. It depends on the league you're in. It also means that 2 of your best players will be out the same time during their bye week. If you're in a bigger league, your bench is filled with guys with upside and the FA market is week. You might as well be punting a week.

But more importantly, you expect these players to blow up just about every week. They're high end players. So there isn't much difference if your WR blows up and you have an elite QB that you'd also expect to blow up anyway (like Rodgers in your case). On a week to week basis in most leagues, a guy with Jones and Rodgers/Brady/Stafford/Newton/Manning probably feels better about their situation than a guy with Jones and Ryan.
