3 seperate thoughts:

1. I hope the online classic teams can be matched against current teams instead of the DLC Legends way where you had to play classic vs classic.

2. I have a PS3 and a now broken wii. I have kids...thinking about trading the ps3 in for 150 credit....Not sure what I will lose by giving the PS3 back? Online play, graphics, controlls? Anybody have thoughts on pros and cons on going with Wii U vs PS3 as it relates to NBA 2k13?

3. Is there ALL STAR WEEKEND DLC for WiiU?

1. That could happen, it seems more logical that it will

2. Pro vs Cons, none cause even though I love all three companies, PS3 and Wii U will probably have the same thing with the Wii U getting exclusive things.

3. No, as a Pre Order thing, $10 or $20 DLC later on in the future, could happen, gives 2K extra money

I've always been a pretty big Nintendo fan so I'll get a WiiU at some point. It's nice to see that Nintendo can finally focus on some sports games. The biggest problem I had with the Wii was the lack of professional sports games. The ones they had(like NBA 2k) were just very bad ports. However, this looks rather nice.

I've played NBA 2k11 on Wii, the graphics are terrible but the modes are pretty much full featured. Madden 10-13 on Wii? Different story.

jerseys are actually fitted to a players body.... why cant they do this for xbox and ps3

Anybody have recent specs and graphics comparisons for wii u and ps3? To remain relevant to the thread, I am thinking about NBA 2k13.....

This Gatorade Biometric Scan should also be also present in Xbox/PS3, right?

I see it on the Pause menu. It shows the player being controlled and his stats etc.

If the wii U can play NBA 2k13 at 1080p native resolution with AA, I'll prob pick it up. I'm ready for true HD gaming, and not the 720p or less up scaled graphics the 360 and ps3 usually give.

Are you saying the wii u will look better than the PS3? Do you have any concerns about the controls or will the gamepad or that other pro controller provide the same functions? Any other info you can share is appreciated.

??? How is that even possible without the secondary screen that the WiiU offers?

As for the getting the WiiU - Nintendo can take a flying leap. Their home consoles have wasted my dime for the last time. Before I ever get another one, there better damn well be a good reason. Frankly, THIS hardware is what the original Wii SHOULD have been!

The WiiU in essentially just now on par with the 360 and PS3. I would either pass and wait for the new MS/Sony systems or wait to see if there is a title you just can't do without before getting a WiiU. That's my opinion.

Plus what kind of controller does the Wii U offer? I mean for platform games and stuff it might be cool, but for sports games I don't know.
