But isn't it a little bit suspect when everyone else is getting a boost and he isn't? He's one of the most valuable players in the league - 77 is an insult. Monobrow and Ibaka should not be, respectively, rated 3 and 4 points higher than Chandler.

2K's ratings are baseless. Ratings are truer to fanfare and league popularity than each player's actual abilities. There are a few anomalies, of course, such as Avery Bradley's inexplicable 79.

Chris Bosh has been shafted this year. His defense is actually pretty good and the Heat's offense falls apart without him.

This isn't Madden NFL where just because you rush for 200 yards in a game doesn't make you a 90 overall running back. You must also factor in the help of the Offensive Line. Maybe the 81 overall running back ran behind a solid Offensive Line. NBA 2K Insider knows what he is doing, and I admit the rating scale should be tweaked but it is the player's ATTRIBUTES that are nearly accurate to represent the counterpart of basketball player on the court.

Tyson Chandler (77 OVR) [DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR]

Rebounding: A-
IQ: B+

Chandler and Hibbert are both better than Lopez according to those letter grades. Lopez just has a better Inside Game.

Smh @ these ratings....AMARE, Pau Gasol, and Blake Griffin, should not be rated higher then Bosh....nor should Joe Johnson

Are you serious? Pau and Amare are clearly better than Bosh. Pau can do everything and more than Bosh can do on offense and is a better defender and rebounder. Amare is a FAR superior defender and can also do everything, if not more than Bosh can do on offense.

Well, in that case, I'm inclined to disagree with the individual attributes. IMO, TC should be an A/A+ rebounder whereas Brook Lopez should certainly NOT be anywhere near a B+ in Post Defense - more like a C. I don't care if he blocks a shot or two per game, his help defense is subpar and he's too soft too have much of an effect defensively. I also think his inside game might be a bit overrated, but that's probably opinion more than anything else. This is coming from a Nets fan, btw
