Why and what team do you play with in madden?

I mean franchise or CCM only. Not online or with friends.
What i mean is why do you pick the team you do? I live in Houston so I started with the Texans, but I feel i would have more fun with other team I don't know so well. I am only in week 3 so will restart with other team. Is it just me or do you find your home team boring to play at times, or is that just me.

So do you always pick your home team? If you have a NFL team where you live. Usually I pick other team other than my home team for Madden. Do you pick a bad team, just to build them up? I am just curious what others do

I love teams that have a good core of (usually young) players that hasn't hit their full potential yet. The Bengles are a prime example.

I am not a fan of the Lions, but started them in CCM because they are young and have great talent to build on. Made it to the NFC championship year 1, now in year 2 and I only have 3 guys 30 yrs old or older. I enjoy playing as them

49ers, because I'm a life long 49ers fan so there's no reason for me to use anyone else.

Yea I am a life long Texans/Oilers and will always support my home team. I just find it boring like i said in my OP to use my home team. I follow them all the time, and would rather play with fresh faces and learn a new team

Yea I am a life long Texans/Oilers and will always support my home team. I just find it boring like i said in my OP to use my home team. I follow them all the time, and would rather play with fresh faces and learn a new team

To each their own, but I see no reason to use any team other than my team.

That's just me. I rarely, if ever, use anyone other than San Francisco, and never use anyone else in a career mode.

As a Giants fan, I don't really like their defensive lineup. Also Eli is getting up there in years, and since the Giants are good, you don't get high draft picks.

Right now I like the strategy of taking an average team and making them better (Lions)

Eventually after I get bored with that, I'll go back to the Giants and make a few SB runs then figure out how to replace Eli.

I think you're just lucky because your team happens to be really good and pretty young. I like building a franchise up.

Falcons, Bucs, Chargers. A few others but these are my favorite to use in CCM for many reasons but one thing they all have in common is GREAT uniforms.

Am I the only one that closes my eyes holding down the button as the teams scream by and whichever team it lands on is the one I got hired by? lol, in HC06 you started the game by having 3-5 contract offers which you got to choose where you started your career.

I think you're just lucky because your team happens to be really good and pretty young. I like building a franchise up.

I've been using the 49ers since NFL 2K5 when I did my first real franchise mode, and in every single football game I've bought since then. Before I started doing franchise modes, I was running the 49ers exclusively going all the way back to Tecmo Bowl. From Jeff Garcia, to Tim Rattay, to JT O'Sullivan, to bad Alex Smith to good Alex Smith, the 49ers are who I have always exclusively used in season / franchise modes.

Same with basketball, I will always use the Orlando Magic, before, during, and now after Dwight Howard.

The only time I didn't use the 49ers / Magic was in the ESPN NFL 2K4 / ESPN NBA 2K4 years when I did created fantasy draft teams.

If other people have other reasons for using whatever team, that's cool, but for me, my only desire is to play with my favorite team. There is no reason for me to use anyone else.

I like to build up weaker teams in the nfl. I am a long time niner fan. and would use them exclusively, because they were a weak team and they were my team, so it worked out. Now that they are the top team in the nfl(yea i said it) i find using them is not as fun. ive decided to use the browns, maybe the jags. only reason i wouldnt use the jags is because maurice jones drew he is way to good lol. but whatever team i pick i will be trading for Colin Kaepernick. since smith is doing better i dont feel he will get the opportunity he deserves in san fran

I do two franchises every year. One with my Bucs and the other with a bad team to build up. This year, I think I'll pick the Rams since the next two years they'll have 2 first round picks.

As a life long Raiders fan, that's the only team I ever use. From Madden 1992 to the present.
