Week 3: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1) @ Dallas Cowboys (1-1)

    1:00 pm game.

The Bucs are coming off of a shootout against the reigning Super Bowl champs on the road where they fell just short.

The Cowboys are coming off of a straight up beatdown.

Dallas is favored by 7 here. The over/under isn't out yet, but I bet it will be in the high 40s.

Dallas beat Tampa Bay the last time they played in week 15 last year.

I don't like over-reacting, especially to one game, but this is very well a game we 'must' win. And, I hope we do.

      That is all.

Eli definitely tends to read things better than Romo, so we should have a better chance of frustrating Romo some.

It's all about the trenches for Tampa. If the D-Line comes out as hard as they did against Carolina, they should be in good shape. If the O-Line finally blocks for Doug Martin worth a damn, they should be in good shape.

If neither of these things happen... well, let's just hope Romo pulls a Romo.

I don't get it though, did Eli not throw 3 INTs? What's Romo pulling a Romo? I'm a huge Romo defender and I will constantly tell you, he is not the issue on this team, nor has he been. More than likely, if Dallas loses it will have nothing to do with Romo.

Don't get me wrong. I think very highly of Romo too. His mistakes have been way exaggerated.

But he tends to make a couple really dumb passes throughout the course of a game or season/he flat out doesn't read defenses as well as Eli does/doesn't control things the way Eli does.

I knew going into the game against the Giants that we wouldn't frustrate Eli the way we did Cam Newton because Eli is a more cerebral player. Romo isn't as cerebral in his approach to the game.

Edit: And yes, Eli threw 3 INTs (actually 4 but one was called back due to a penalty nowhere near the play), but he absolutely shredded the secondary. It was like the Bills-Pats game last year. Brady absolutely demolished the Bills but there was 3 or 4 mistakes/weird bounces that the Bills capitalized on. That's basically how it was in the Giants-Bucs game. Even when Eli threw 3 picks in the first half, it always appeared that he knew exactly how to beat the secondary and I believed they would come back the entire time (though I was hoping Tampa would be able to hold them off).

I would have guessed that simply because this is Newtons second season in the league.

I think it's more to do with the kind of player he is rather than how many years he's been in the NFL, but that's just me. I'd trust Peyton or Eli or even someone like Andrew Luck to be able to read a zone defense better than Michael Vick or Romo or Newton just because of the way they play.

Not saying Romo will have a similar day as Eli, but I think you severely under rate Romo's knowledge of the game and his ability to read what's going on pre-snap and post.

See the difference out of those 3 that you grouped is that Romo has consistently put together great seasons. He knows how to read defense. I dont see anything that would indicate Eli could read D better then Romo. He just comes up more often then not with the game on the line.

Im thinking that Dallas will bounce back after a miserable performance against Seattle.

Great play by Talib to start the game. Need to put points on the board right away.
