Re: The pass rush is awful.
ehh, I don't technically agree. You could try messing around with some sliders though. I mean in an OD I'm in we're playing on default sliders and my team leads the nation in sacks and only seven games in one DE (Clowney) has 21.5 Sacks. -

The user coverage is reversed this year. Put it at 0 and they will be all over the wide receivers. Check it for yourself.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: The pass rush is awful.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that has this problem come up. Every time its either 2nd and 5 or 3rd and 10 all of a sudden I can be playing against Cal and boom they getta 1st down. Also another thing to complain about the animations. Whenever I'm in hurry up and I change the hot routes my QB still manages to point out to the players and players wonder what he's doing. Annoying especially when I'm in the 4th Qtr trying to win. Last but not least what difficulty do you guys play on I play on Heisman but no matter who I am I eventually get picked off why is that?Comment

Re: The pass rush is awful.
I do get sacks, but my issues with pass rush is the suction blocking (wish it was more fluid on both sides) and the sporadic roid rage CPU dlineman animation when all of sudden a CPU DT/DE will be completely unstoppable for one play and blow up 4 guys trying to block him. He goes right down the line swim moving each one and then the next 10 plays he goes back to typical pass rush animations. I DO want to see more OL get beat, but if he has support from the G and RB I don't think its realistic that the DL blows up all blockers who stand in his way. There has to be a more realistic way of creating blown pass blocking assignments or a OL being over matched.
The suction blocking has been around forever. I want to see Jarvis Jones fly right around a OT without first having to slow down and be drawn into the OT.
Overall I don't completely dislike the pass rush this year, but line play is definitely something that needs to be rebuilt so it plays out more realistic.Comment

Re: The pass rush is awful.
The thing that's odd is that if I play as the LB or S, the CPU DE's are terrible. If I play as the DE it's too easy to get sacks.Chicago Bears

Re: The pass rush is awful.
Yes, this is one of those issue I have with the game. It probably has something to do with the poor blocking and line play in general. If you think about it, if they "dumb" down the ends, and they aren't able to be as aggressive, it sort of helps make the busted run blocking look better. On the other hand, if the ends were able to easily get upfield, you could run off tackle for 6 yards a pop and we would all complain about that. It sucks because football games are won in the trenches, this game often feels like a 7 on 7 passing camp. I love to run the ball, which is hard to do even with good sliders. I hope they address this next year now that they've touched up Passing and DB interactions."Statistics always remind me of a fellow who drowned in a river where the average depth was three feet." -Woody HayesComment

Re: The pass rush is awful.
lmao the users team pass rush is terrible not the computers atleast in my experience..my de with a ovr of 95 get block easily by a guy with a 70 ovr. both com controlled...like someone said on of these threads the user teams are programmed differently.if you want to get pass rush you have to do it yourself while the rest of your player play stupid...but on the other hand the computer teams play like theirs 5 users on the dline lolComment

Re: The pass rush is awful.
I still think the line interaction needs a lot of work to make it more fluid, but to put things in perspective Mingo and Montgomery, two of the top DEs in the game, have a combined 1 sack in real life. Expecting our DE's to constantly dominate and get sacks each game is may be a bit unrealistic. Finding sliders that have the top DE's create more chaos than sacks is little more realistic.Comment
