Greg Monroe numbers are inflated due to playing for a crappy team.

Somewhat. He's also very young, I see lots of potential in him crappy team or not.. You also have to take into consideration that playing for a crappy team can also hurt your numbers since everybody keys on you.. He doesn't have superstars around him to make his game easier..
Example- I don't think Harden would be near the player he is if he was on a crappy team as the go to guy.. Teams keying on stopping Durant and Westbrook is what makes Harden the player he is.. I said before the finals even started, if the Heat stop Harden they get a ring. That's exactly what happened, and he wasn't hard for them to stop at all..Comment

Wrong, Hibbert averaged 2.0 blocks in less than 30 mpg, Dwight averaged 2.2 blocks in 38 mpg. I would say Hibbert was the better shotblocker last season

No ... Hibbert plays 29 minutes and gets 2 BPG, In an estimated 36 mins he would average 2.4 BPG.
Howard plays 38 mins. and gets 2.1 BPG and in the estimated 36 he would only average a solid 2Comment

Career averages don't mean anything (specially when one player is a 24 mpg career average player and the other one is a 36 mpg one. This is 2013 and the videogame we are about to play is nba 2k13, so if last season Hibbert was a better shotblocker the game should reflect thatComment

Roy Hibbert will never be anything close to Dwight Howard ever just because he Blocks 2.0 PG doesn't mean that he is a great defender rofl.Career averages don't mean anything (specially when one player is a 24 mpg career average player and the other one is a 36 mpg one. Dwight Howard isn't a great defender either? Neither of those guys are, they are just both excellent at helping over and getting lots of blocks.. If you honestly think Dwight is a great low post defender you need to watch more basketballComment

Dwight Howard is a great low post defender. He is a former Three time DPOTY should of been four time, but got injured. Dwight Howard is consdiered a top 5 player in this league for a reason.
In the four match ups against Roy Hiberrt Dwight dominated him.
Here are Roys stats against Dwight.
First Game: 5-16 FG 31.3% 16 Points
Second Game: 3-8 FG 37.5% 7 Points
Third Game: 5-11 FG 45.5% 10 Points
Fourth Game 5-8 FG .62.5% 10 Points
To say Dwight can't defend in the low post is to say that he can't dunk.Comment

I'm not sure why you are posting Dwight vs. Hibbert match up numbers, I never once argued Hibbert was better or even as good. And those numbers average out to 10.75 PPG, while Hibberts career average is 11.1, that's really not hindering his performance much at all..Dwight Howard is a great low post defender. Howard is an exceptional defender, amazing in the help side and being pretty much the only dominate big man around right now is a huge intimidation factor. Pretty much the only big man right now who can change the way teams run their offense.. How ever his low post defense (on the ball) isn't that good, it's just average. And doesn't have the best footwork on D, bites on fakes, you don't see it much because teams don't utilize big men offensively the way they used to, but it's definitely there if you are willing to look past your highlights.Comment

You can't be serious about Dwight Howard not having any footwork. Am sorry but I think that is highly outrageous to say.I'm not sure why you are posting Dwight vs. Hibbert match up numbers, I never once argued Hibbert was better or even as good. Dwight is a product of a dead position. I respect him but his abilities are vastly overshadowed by a lack of true pivots in the NBA. Can't hate the man for being born in pretty much the perfect era for his skillset (or lack of however people see it).Comment

Dwight Howard can go 1 on 2 against anybody. His per against is 12.1 which is the best for any center last season.Comment

Dwight can guard 2 players against anybody? I have no idea what you're trying to say here.. Despite of whatever stat you throw in my face all I can tell you is to WATCH him play.. He has major holes in his ability to play solid one on one defense.. Is he great at help defense? YES, is a great shot blocker? YES.. Can he change the game with his defense? YES...
But there are things that don't show up on a stat sheet. What are going to tell me next, that players like Manu, Battier, and Noah aren't hustle players since there is no stat to prove so?
Also, one of the major reasons Dwights PER against is so good is because teams don't look inside near as much when playing against Howard, for obvious reasons..Comment
