Re: NBA 2K13: How Signature Skills Have Changed the Game

A lot of people were saying Derrick Rose shouldn't have the Floor General skill. If I had to replace one of his, I'd give him Finisher instead of Shot Creator. When I think of a shot creator, I think of players who like to isolate, create space and get a shot off. When Rose isolates, he's mainly trying to take it to the cup. Most of Rose's jumpers come in transition, off the pass, or when the shot clock is going down. Yes, Rose is an acrobat, but he's also one of the best finishers in the game (though he doesn't get to the line like the other guys).

Sig Skills sounds awesome, really looking forward to this.

There's gonna be a LOT of discussion about certain players and skills, but that's cool. I'm sure they'll miss a few out of the gate, but hopefully they'll set it straight during regular updates.

Can't wait till this game comes out.

I can't wait to see these Sig. Skills... I hope this innovation could bring us a true basketball game where champions play like champions and specialists play like specialists.

For example, in 2k12 playing HoF difficulty obviusly, I could quite easily guard Paul Pierce with any player of my team (I use to play with Indiana) but it was almost impossible to me to stop Al Farouq Aminu and Alec Burks!!!!

This should not happen in a videogame that pretend to be the best in the world.
I hope that with signature skills introduction we can see matches the more realistic than the last year.

i just realized some of the defensive skills will be in vain if they haven't balanced the sim sliders to where they actually play a part but not go overboard.

i have yet to see or really feel the energy boost from a block from Serge Ibaka(eraser skill) but it felt like in 2k12 any pass CPU Lebron would make would result in a basket for the heat and with his dimer skill in 2k13 I can see and feel that a bit more in just the demo
