Yes, and he should be. Nick Young is irrelevant and inconsistent.

Damn Lamar. I was expecting him to be rated a bit higher than that, but after last season I guess it's warranted. Hopefully he has a rebound year.

What is people's beef with Dirk's rating? I think, for once, the 2K Insider's got it right here. 85 is fair for Dirk. He's a pretty average defender and a weak rebounder for a 7 footer. I'll admit that his low offensive rebounding numbers are probably because he plays further from the basket, but you can't just be giving artificial boosts because he can shoot well.

I say this all the time: 2K has the frustrating propensity to overrate skilled offensive players in other areas of their game, just to please fans. Dirk will play like Dirk. It's the same situation with 'Melo; he doesn't deserve a 92 just because he can score... especially after last season.

Odom's rating is spot on - if he played like he did last season for his career, he wouldn't be worthy of a 65. 71 is on the money.

I'm also happy that Nick Young is low 70s.

Why would Melo be rated so much higher than Dirk?

I dont have a problem with Nick Young's rating.
But you agree Terry should be a 77?

If anything I think Terry should be around 74-75 & or they should be even...
They do the exact same thing.
Come off the bench & score.
Specifically...Nick Young can create his own shot off the dribble...he can spot up...he can dunk on people(lol)...& is more athletic.
Terry is just as inconsistent which is why he plays off the bench...
and is on the decline of his career.... no shade tho...

I agree, it's pretty ridiculous. Inconsistency on the part of the Insider. Dirk is pretty accurate, though so many players this year are overrated. I chalk it up to Signature Skills. Might need confirmation on that.

Accounting for Melo's meh defense, I think 86-88ish range would be fair. I've also got an inkling 2K has overrated his rebounding.

As long as simulated seasons produce accurate stats it should be fine. No major jumps in shooting % is usually a problem. Or vice versa when bigs who normally shoot well over 50% end up far below

Difference is, where Jason Terry is a pretty bad defender, Nick Young is a horrendous defender. I'd say JT is the more efficient scorer, too. That said, you're right, 77 might be a bit too high.

It doesn't matter if Nick Young can dunk on people when he barely shoots 40%...

If 2 guys have the same rebound rate they should get the same rating and not based on position. Players are rotating between positions more often so that shouldn't play a major factor

Luke Walton though? I need to talk to whoever is responsible for 'leaking' his overall ASAP! lol

True. Honestly, my Association stats are always F'd up one way or another. I strive for realism so it's pretty annoying. I'm always waiting on someone to fix the game for me.

It irks me seeing about 25+ players averaging 20 points or more. Sounds like a minor thing, but when everone starts demanding these huge contracts, teams can't sign them and you get quality players just sitting in free agency. Association needs some love.

The only thing I play is association. Takes a lot of time adjusting tendencies and the like to get the simulation as accurate as possible. But I want my experience to be as realistic as possible.
