Season is set up to be relatively easy.

With everyone that is coming back and this ridiculous schedule anything worse than 10-2 and an SEC championship game trip will be a failure.

and it will be Richt's fault for allowing it to happen. Even though Richt just signed an extension, this is his make or break year imo

He's doing just enough every season to keep his job. This year though is like an underhand pitch to Babe Ruth, it could be a homerun or an embarrassing swing and miss. They're capable of winning every game and with a few breaks, they have a possible shot at an MNC.. Richt will prove his worth this season

So far so good.. currently #5 and past our first big test (Mizzou).. need a win vs Vandy this weekend and we should have the entire team back for Tennessee

Bobo had some interesting experimentation with the pistol formation vs FAU.. Gurley, Marshall, and Malcome all looked good running out of it and Murray looked comfortable passing too, hope he uses it more

If it looked good you can bet Bobo will not use it. Probably thinks he's tricking the defense by not doing something that has worked in the past.

The game against Mizzou was the first time I have actively cheered for Georgia since about 4 games into Joe Cox' season as the starter a few years ago. And that was only because of the comments the Mizzou player made about old man football. It was nice to actually be able to cheer for my team to win rather than hope they play poor enough to get the coach fired and start looking to the future.

At least Jarvis Jones is fun to watch.

It's a possibility, but lots of things would have to fall into place for it to happen

I'd rather worry about the next 2 weeks.. Oct 6 in Columbia is going to be a battle for the ages

I think we can beat Bama, but it will be a war! Gurley is so impressive. Is he a true freshman?

Both Gurley and Marshall are true freshman

Yeah Gurshall has been pretty amazing so far. Combined they are actually outpacing Hershel's Freshmen year.

Big game tomorrow against USCe. I don't know how the Georgia O-line is going to fair against that USCe front. To me that is where the game will be won or lost. Well that and the kicking game. If Morgan continues to miss PATs then UGA could go home with a L in a close one.

I don't think this team can play on the same field as Alabama from what I've seen so far. Georgia's defense has looked suspect (granted they were missing 2 key players), the O-line has never been Georgia's strong point, Nick Saban > Mark Richt, Aarron Murray has yet to prove himself against good competition, and Alabama is Alabama. I like their Offensive Line against Georgia's defensive front and their O-line against UGA's defensive front. I think the tandem of Gurley and Marshall is a little better than Alabama's Lacey and Fowler (I think is his name), but that advantage is offset by each team's Off and Def lines. The only area I think Georgia has a relative advantage at is our receivers against their corners and their receivers against Georgia's corners. Every other matchup I think favors Alabama at this point.

Welp it looks as though this team has checked out emotionally, just playing with no inspiration at all.. and the worst part is Richt looks like he couldn't care less, he's no leader

This UF game is potentially the biggest game of his career, and regardless of the outcome I hope by this time next year he's not with the program

Yeah there isn't anything Richt can do to change my opinion of him at this point.

About mid way through the 2009 season when he continued to send Joe Cox out there at QB when he was throwing interceptions left and right...I knew that his loyalty would always hold the program back. It happened with Willie Martinez, it happened with Joe Cox, it's happening right now with Mike Bobo.

And I wish that loyalty was the only problem. This team has been undisciplined since he got to Georgia consistently being a leader in the SEC in penalties committed and of course the numerous off field problems. Special teams have been beyond atrocious the last several years...and that's putting it nicely as sometimes the coaching staff doesn't even see it as a viable part of the game (you go out there and fair catch any ball kicked to you no matter what).

There are just so many recurring problems with the program that we need to just erase it all and start from scratch.
