Re: Everything Is A Steal
You have to train yourself not to dribble into traffic, and when you do, to shield the ball by keeping it in the hand opposite from the closest defender.
If anything there aren't enough steals. It's still easy to turbo dribble around the court, bouncing off everything in sight -- defenders, teammates, the sidelines, the mascot -- and never lose the ball.Comment

Nothing new here, 2k12 was made for casual fans, specially the online ranked matchesComment

Re: Everything Is A Steal
A lot of us grew up playing games with a force field around the ball handler. It takes time to train yourself to think like you're playing basketball instead of a video game.
In basketball, anyone can steal the ball from you at any time if you aren't paying attention and taking care of the ball.Comment

Huh? Casual guys Dont stand a chance against me if I run a disciplined game plan. Only the most savvy cheesers get a negligible amount of steals. If a guy is reaching that much then drive on them. It works every time.XboxOne: Bornkwau77Comment

Re: Everything Is A Steal
Yup, there is like a one second window where the defender is frozen if they reach in. Usually i'll wait for it and just go past them if they try it.Comment

Re: Everything Is A Steal
I've had several games online were my opponent had 10+ steals. These were games where I picked low-level teams and they picked Heat or Thunder with zone defense and constant steal attempts all game. From the constant reaching, it wasnt the 1st or second steal attempt, but the third or fourth that got me. What puzzled me was how it looked like the defenders just hurled themselves into my offensive player with no foul call. If you always pick the top teams then maybe you havent experienced this like some because foul calls get called for you more often.
If you're reaching on my right side, you shouldnt be able to steal the ball from my left.
If you're reaching behind me, you shouldnt be able to steal the ball from my front.Comment

Re: Everything Is A Steal
It was probably due to the new physics thing they introduced in 2k12. Way too many drive-by steals where some dude just bumps into you and blamo the ball comes loose. Also the intentional foul and double team glitch just compounded the problem and cheese.Comment

Re: Everything Is A Steal
Yeah, the "live" ball physics were garbage. The ball was like hyperreactive to ANYTHING. If someone breaths on the ball it gets knocked loose. I have no idea why they thought that would be a good idea.Comment

Re: Everything Is A Steal
The live ball physics are trash but people need to pay attention to the defense on the court some people just want to dribble right through the defense losing the ball makes people pay more attentionT.R.U. 2 MY REALIGION
