He's one of the best offensive players in 2K12, which is strange for a player who averaged 10ppg. It's good to see that he's been lowered a little bit.

Overall, whoever makes the ratings for 2K does a pretty poor job. It's like he just watches Youtube highlights and doesn't consult any advanced stats. I mean, Aaron Brooks is rated a 77? What a joke.
I agree with everything in this post.

In real life Nick Young could get you a few buckets, but he's nothing special. There's a difference between a scorer and someone who puts up so much shots something is bound to go in.

It was to easy to give defenses hell in 2K12 with Nick Young, I agree good to see he's getting a decrease.

          okay, heres the fact.

jason terry and dirk are in the top 10 for 4th quarter scoring of this generation. (i believe top 5, but cant fact check right now)

Terry is a champion, and is pure clutch, pure clutch counts for much more than just ability in the NBA. so he should be high 70s, he should be close to 80. his role for the Mavs championship CANNOT be underrated.

nick young is not a 4th quarter go to guy. he doesn't put fear into defenders when he has the ball with less than ten minutes left in the game. THAT is what a star is. and that is what jason terry was without doubt when he won it all.

im not getting into the dirk vs melo arguement. Dirks rating has always been a joke in 2k games. and while he will play like dirk. his franchise value is SEVERELY affected.

What can you do to boost Dirk up though? In NBA 2K12, he had 99 Close Shot, 99 Midrange Shot, and a lot of high offensive attributes yet he was only 85 overall.

Exactly. I think people completely ignore the player's actual attributes just to complain about ratings.

Dirk has the one rating that really matters - 7'. Every skill advantage he has is vs. others his size, not outright. Ratings represent ability, not effectiveness.

If Lamar Odom gets a divorce....his rating should go up....
                    Memphis Grizzlies.....
                    TN Titans....
                    UK Wildcats......

Exactly. Big men's ratings make HUGE jumps with rebounding and block attribute boost.. And Dirk just isn't going to get a boost there.. There is really no way to raise his overall.. Plus he had a horrible year this past year lol

Dirk is clearly penalized for not being that great of a defender or rebounder. This is probably a huge factor for PF's. A 75 for defense means he just average defender. His offense is elite for his position but his defense is average and his rating is the same as it was for 2K12. There is nothing new here to debate.

It's about time for the next 6 to be released. 293.4K follower the moment for their twitter page. Next ones were promised at 293. Maybe we'll get them tonight.

I was thinking the same thing earlier today, but I think they tend to release them only on weekdays.

They've spaced on this the last couple weekends and didn't release them until Monday. I'm guessing that whoever is in charge of revealing them on Twitter gets Sundays off...

                                Kind of lame, though.

Just because you feel it, doesn't mean it's there.
