Request for feature in NHL 14

This is strictly just a suggestion that I think could improve online drop-in games for EASHL. It could go a very long way in providing a better overall game for both sides. In every NHL game to this point, you just hit drop-in game and it takes you to a random game where you all fight for the same spots, etc. I play Defense so I rarely find myself fighting for selection. However, you get the guys that want to play offense and only offense and will sit there for 2 minutes and either drop out, or pick a position they hate, and still attempt to play offense. This causes more issues than anything else, and in general it ruins the game for those who are playing to win.

My proposal is this:

In NHL 14, when you go to the drop-in menu, a lineup pops up, and you pick what position you would like to play. You are then dropped in to a game where everyone has the position they want and everyone is happy. Finding games may take a bit longer, but I think in the long run it would lead to more competitive games, and it would help team play out much more.

yeah, a lot of people have been saying something like this over the last couple of years. You could also do a "first come, first serve" rule, where once you get put into the room, a list of available positions is there, and you pick what is left. If you don't like the choices, you bounce to another room. Simple as that. That way, the only ones that have to wait some time to get a game in are the people looking for a position, and not the whole room.

I play D, too, so I generally don't have an issue picking my position. But it does seem that there could be a better system.

100 x 0 is the same as 6 x 0..



Minus penalty stuff, I'd like to see a NHL Today type feature that 2K has for their games. So each day, stats and commentary would be adjusted to mimic real life when playing that mode.

Since this thread is just about features, I won't talk about things like coaches and stuff like that, but I'd like to also see a more in depth GM Mode(and one that sims much faster,instead of the one we have this year,that takes 9 seconds to sim a single day)

I'd really like to see CPU teammates that have a clue what puck support is and actually try to get open for a pass. Oh, wait....wasn't that suppose to be in 13?????

Being a fan of HUT I'd like to see the option when putting players / cards in your trade pile you have the option to say you want to trade your card rather than have EA Pucks back in return. The game is based around trading cards so why not give us the option to trade them rather than sell them.

1. A menu item on the MAIN menu that remembers the last thing you did - I hate having to go to 'other game modes>season>load' every time I start the game
2. the option to let the CPU do the goal celebrations, and make them good. I seem to do the same celebration every time and would prefer the CPU just picks it and does it.
3. Sliders that have a numeric value under them rather than relying on a visual representation. I can remember numbers better than I can graphical slider positions

There should be be a gm mode for the chl (WHL,OHL,QMJHL)

I would love it if you could load slider setting for all modes instead of having to manually re-enter them all for every mode.

1. more old school jerseys, get rid of the fat ballon size jerseys for old school make them standard looking like the RBK jerseys, they are ****ing huge.

2. create a jerseys, I wont to use reglular jerseys, old school jerseys so I can create old school teams. Because your jersey editor sucks.

3. create a player, more options, I would like to edit current players faces give them beards different skin tones to make them look more like the counter parts, and players that dont have a cyber face, give me the option to edit there face, so I can find one in the system that kinda looks like them.
