One thing I hope is in the new UFC game (which it should since EA generally does this kind of stuff) is fighter editing. That will help us edit guys ratings we think are off and for offline fights.

Yeah I guess I forgot to add that in as well. It would be huge to be able to edit guys moves and stuff.
I wonder if they're going to add in legends too?Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: EA Sports UFC To be Developed by Fight Night Team, EA Canada
I don't know about this gents. I mean, Fight Night wasn't a horrible game but it left much to be desired. Let the team who did the first EA MMA do it as that game was pretty good. That, or get the UFC 3 devs to pitch in on it. Other than the fighters being a bit stiff and the career cap, UFC3 blew Fight Night Champs out of thee water.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC To be Developed by Fight Night Team, EA Canada
The original EA MMA guys are on other projects they started and can't be taken off of them. They are going to be dedicated to them and EA will not pull them off. The THQ UFC team were not a package deal when EA bought the UFC license, but rumor says that a couple of the THQ guys defected. The only thing is you can't share another companies secrets.I don't know about this gents. I mean, Fight Night wasn't a horrible game but it left much to be desired. You are right UFC 3 blew Fight Night out the water, the online hurt the overall game. The Fight Night team doesn't believe in a sim/realistic experience. This might make fans go ballistic or they might accept as a Street Fighter meets Tekken type game.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Comment

Jon "Bones" Jones better have a high submission rating in this new game. He holds the Light-HeavyWeight record for most submission victories. Just submitted Vitor Belfort!Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC To be Developed by Fight Night Team, EA Canada
I don't have high hopes about this. UFC 3 was far from perfect and still it was THQ's third try. This will be EA's first release and usually it takes time to develop good game. Look what NBA Live has become, I just don't see this one having a great result. I wish I'd have SIMULATION UFC game, and usually EA has managed to turn sports games more to ARCADE type.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC To be Developed by Fight Night Team, EA Canada
EA doesn't think sim/realistic fighting games will sell well. They always say the Casual market is their priority. They love to try to force fans of a certain sport accept the arcadish garbage they hand off as sim/realistic.I don't have high hopes about this. Fight Night has lost many fans because it will not go the sim route. The game sold horribly in it's last outing. The game just didn't truly capture the sport's depth realistically.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC To be Developed by Fight Night Team, EA Canada
What I really like about this is that it probably means we won't be forced to retire after a certain amount of fights now. By THQ's standards, Anderson Silva would have to retire after 2-years and Carlos Condit would have to retire a little before him.--

That's why I said probably.
The last Fight Night I played, you weren't forced to retire. Your stats just continued to diminish once you got to a certain age and you were forced to train harder.--

I think the game will be decent. I enjoyed EA's MMA game more than all of THQ's entries.Comment
