Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.
yea but will they take psn cards
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.

Re: NBA Live 13 Has Been Canned

The real problem in all of this is that for all the gripes that people have with NBA 2k, Live keeps trying to make a new game every year instead of building a proper foundation, and adding to it.

This doesnt surprise me one bit, its the same scenario from when I did QA on Live 07/08. The devs just dont get it man. It stems from the suits on down. For all the mess the devs were talking about how they were going to go for 2ks weaknesses, they completely overlooked their own, in a cocky manner, that blew up in their faces.

All that yapping.. 100 hours on faces rhetoric, pat on the back hallway meetings etc... they(artists side)all need to retake human anatomy courses, becuase Lives main failure will always stem from their animaitons and human movement.

I know because Im an animator. Lives downfall will always start with basic human movement. Until they fix that, their game will never succeed.

The programmers need to not allow animations to break at any keyframe, becuase its kills any semblence of "realistic human movement" All that spastic stuff happening.

I am going to compile all my post and research all my post into this 1 post becuase someone, anyone needs to show these guys why they continue to fail.

23 or admin, will it be okay for me to go ahead with this. Hopefully a EA dev will read and take what Im going to post to heart.
NBA Live is the epitome of Cancel Culture..

Idk I mean, it was only 20 dollars and a digital download, so I doubt they were going to have respectable numbers. My point is we will never know because the game wasn't released, so we don't really know how many people actually still care about Live.

          I think they'll stick around.

They don't have a contract just with nba, they have a contract with the whole eas.

They thought selling a new physics engine and controls would be enough to overtake 2k but it wasnt. They still have that belief and thats why they wont take a step back and build off of 10. EA has been quoted as saying they took a year to look at Elite and see what was usable...completely ignoring Live 10. Also completely ignoring that many people preferred Live 10 to 2k10.

We do know that EA owns the code to 10 so thats not a question.
Hey even if EA did own the rights to Live10, its still a completely different team brought in to handle the game now. That new team is being thrown into a situation of handling a engine they did not create, how far do you think they will get? Thats like asking for a blimpy sandwish at a subways restaurant, subways does not have that correct information needed to continue to make that blimpy snadwich....

You cant evolve or adapt on a game engine without its original maker or source...it will be a bootleg effort....without the real team, call it bootleg live10

Wow. Can't say I'm surprised. What is the NBA's opinion on this? Two straight games that have been cancelled. Wow, millions of dollars down the drain for EA.

P.S. In the past I have doubted Mike Wang's ability to lead a team to a good game. I always thought he was one dude but after seeing that even with leadership change, and no game. I am a Mike Wang believer.

Trying to use that engine without the brain child Wang might be like trying to utilize/develop Tony Stark tech without Tony Stark..In the wrong hands it could prove disastrous.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Thats a horrible analogy. Tiburon and Canada are different studios but under the same umbrella. Its ridiculous to think that EA wouldnt leave a few employees who were knowledgable about the Live 10 engine to help guide the new team. The fact is EA wanted to move from the Live 10 engine and only use the elite engine. Just like the Live 13 team had to try to use the Elite engine, they couldve used that time to learn the Live 10 engine and built from there.

It was an indefensible decision by EA to use Elite as the foundation for 13 and the main reason why this game wasnt released.

The new team wasn't involved with Elite either, and from what I read they've improved the game somewhat. I would think EA sports would have the rights, to a game they created. I've never heard of a company losing rights to their own codes. I've heard Companies losing rights to the game but never the actually game codes.
