@benzino.. i thought this as well, however, i believe if you hit the "Y" button on 360 you can change the individual columns as well... such as the millions place etc. I'm not near my game now and I'm not sure if tha'ts the correct button, but it can be changed that way and makes the process much much easier. Hope this helps. -

Seems to me like FIFA wants the player to be a little more "hands -on" this time around. I noticed that sometimes when I play a long ball, the players don't automatically run all the way to the ball, and the game suddenly drops the responsibility in your lap to negotiate your trap, first touch, whatever. I also feel like the defense is the same way at times. I've had better luck with manually bringing a 2nd defender (hold RB) to either trap the guy, or to mark him and allow me to play passing lanes. Not perfect but it's a little better than the normal indifference my teammates show on D.While the number itself "feels" a little low, this review did give me a new perspective on what we should expect from this game. I don't like a lot of things about the defense - it was the main reason that I left Legacy Defending on in FIFA 12 - I needed the ability to quickly steal the ball after my other 10 players did nothing to try and take it away. I am trying Tactical Defending this year, but if the primary control they give you is to "contain" (prior to lunging violently with the B button), then it would make more sense if your teammates would try to box in the ball carrier and steal the ball while you are containing. This simply doesn't happen.
But it's not really an "A.I." failure, because the CPU defense does know how to do these things against you on offense. It's a design decision. Your defense is programmed to stand off because you have control, and I wish they found a middle ground there.
Still a very fun game, and much improved.Comment

Nope, OS missed it on this one. If there ever was a classic this would be it. 9.0 without a doubt.Comment

I would say there is definitely a lack of understanding on the reviewers part.Comment

OS ratings are predictable enough that I guessed an 8.5 review before even opening the page and was not disappointed.
I will give this site credit for at least being consistent in its criteria for most sports genres.Comment

Re: FIFA Soccer 13 Review (360/PS3)
People wonder why this game remains good with "no competition". First, PES is still out there and has a following. Second, there is a HUGE WORLD audience that would absolutely ROAST EA if they were stagnant with this series. There are billions of passionate soccer (yes, I said SOCCER, not football) fans that would be quick to give EA the middle finger if they screw up. Those 2 things have kept EAC on their toes with this series and thank goodness for that. I checked out the PES demo and was quite disappointed. Not saying it's bad - it just doesn't compete with FIFA now. Kudos to EA on a fine product.Comment

wats up with the no player-manager mode? so can you no longer have your pro built up thru playing a career with a team where u control it all including the choice to play with all the players or just ur pro? im confused. if they took that out id be kinda salty cuz thats majority of what i played. if it can still be done under manager mode that whatever...Lets Go:

Re: FIFA Soccer 13 Review (360/PS3)
I love the game and likely would have given it a 9, but it was a fair review. Spot-on calls about the lack of AI defense. This has cost me points in UT for sure and I've been frustrated as a result
Having said that, I am having a ton of fun and haven't even touched the career mode yet
UT is taking up waaaay too much of my time

Having a really good time with FIFA so far, but at this point I'm dying to give the retail PES a whirl, for ****s n' gigs if nothing else. I was a little disappointed in the demo, which I found a tad clunky and unresponsive compared to FIFA. However, I've youtubed some "True Brits" videos of the retail version (excellent viewing by the way, I highly recommend) and it looks like a much more polished and smooth running game. And the CPU definitely plays a more realistic game on PES, with better team diversity and a wider variety of goals from what I've seen. I'm not much of an online player (lag really frustrates me) so I need the CPU to be fun to play against.Comment

Re: FIFA Soccer 13 Review (360/PS3)
That helps somewhat, but the defense is still poor. They just ignore the fact that speedy strikers are getting runs on them. It doesn't even matter if you set them to play conservatively (not using the offside trap, etc). They still stand around and react too slowly. You also have to mash the pressure button to get them to put enough pressure on the other team when they are in scoring position.
In career mode (player only) my midfielder has a horrible time because I not only have to create offense, but I have to cover the back line as well because if I leave the AI alone they give up far too many through balls and clean breaks. When you can't switch players, the terrible AI really stands out.Go Sabres!Comment
