This argument really needs to die. Fine, they didn't work for 3 years. They took some time off. But it's not as if they started from scratch. There was a functional game there already. They had a framework to work with. With 70 people for 8 months and a headstart, there is little excuse for not putting out SOMETHING. So lets just stop that argument here and now. Time wasn't an excuse for Elite and they aren't using it here now. The game was just not up to snuff. Accept it and move on.

This is the last time I'm going to reply to you, because you're just embarassing yourself at this point. Here are some more facts for you though:

In 2010 they tried to start from scratch again and the game was absolutely terrible. They then decided to cancel that game, take a year off, and release one in 2012. In 2012, the game is still a steaming pile of crap and was subsequently cancelled... AGAIN.

I don't care if they changed dev teams yesterday; that's just one more thing to add to their already infinitely long list of poor decisions. They've had three years to get their act together and they're switching dev teams in November?

So I'm your professor, you're my student,and you've had three months to work on this essay paper and you decided to change topics last week. And now it's not completed so you don't want me to give you an F because you changed your mind? Nope, sorry. That was your poor decision, not mine. Your paper is still terrible and incomplete on the day it was due. Not to mention, you had already asked for an extension last semester when it wasn't complete and I gave you one. I don't care WHY it's not done, the fact of the matter is, it's not, and your classmate has already handed in two A+ papers in the same time frame.

Come on, be honest with us... what reason do you have to be defending such piss-poor effort? Stock in the company? Relatives that work there? There is literally no logical reason to be loyal to a brand that has performed this poorly since 2010. I'll tell you what I'm loyal to... quality products, regardless of who makes them.

Again, it doesn't matter when they "switched teams"... Why the hell were they switching teams so late when they had three years to get the "right" people working on this? It's poor decision making from the top down. Spin it how you what (and ony God knows why you continue to try), but this entire mess is pathetic.... right along with the excuse making.

Facts are facts? How about this fact? In August of 2011 Peter Moore himself said that they had a team together that ALREADY had the game up and running. So as already stated, the not having a team/ enough time argument is tired and stale.

Obviously when they got at it in November they believe they could make the October launch date. Something thing happen that they couldn't overcome in time.. Happens all the time in the IT world..

I'm not surprised and sorry, but there is one thing that I'd wait and wish to be released, it's new NBA Street. I thought after Live 13 EA will release newer version of NBA Street, as it was with Fifa Street. Street authentic games is my weakness. EA sport is the only company that is taken for the development of street games.

As for other EA titles, especialy for Fifa, I strongly think that Fifa failure is very close. Exactly the same situation as with 2k, Konami will win this battle just because they are on the right path by focusing on gameplay. Big differences between Fifa and PES will already be visible in the next year. (although I believe they are already visible)

2k is spanking them unmercifully and right now this series has regressed so much that nba09 looks better. That game was made 4 years ago and even then they were innovative...the first my player mode was designed with them

All we get now are cancellations and excuses from e.a.

If EA cared about their "fans" as much as they say, they would have never ever let NBA LIVE 07 into retailers. That was my first basketball game in like ten years, and the frame rate issues scarred my retinas.

NBA Live has never been up to par since the Sega Genesis. Once 2k showed up on the scene it became readily apparent they could not compete with a game that can be balanced to play sim, arcade or both. EA spends too much time trying to force gamers into one direction instead of giving them options. Only FIFA gets it right with all of the individual sliders.
