    Crazy infinity engine bug

So I was playing a game tonight and as the CPU was running the ball I hit the ball carrier, he broke a tackle, then when I hit him again he went down but somehow got knocked about 30 yards forward down field. And yes, he got the spot. In hindsight wish I would have recorded the replay. The thing that ticked me off was that it was a third down play and I would have had them stopped outside field goal range but thanks to this lil bug not only did it put them in field goal range and give them a first down, they went on to score a TD a couple plays later.

By the way, this isn't a complaint or ranting thread, just something I found pretty ridiculous at the time and kinda funny now so I thought I'd share.

I've only seen a handful of really zany things. Annoying when they happen to you, but still awesome. Outweighed, IMO, by the good physics reactions. Had a great ~12 yard first down run where Doug Martin rumbled along with like 4 players to roll over the first down line. I thought it was a glitch spot, but watched the replay, and he never touched the ground. It was great.

That's what I call hit power.

Wow....I couldn't tolerate the game if it had any possibility to do this in a game....could you imagine losing in a ranked match because you need to make a stop and this occurred......(I mean, I don't care cause I didn't buy the game because of the way they treated the offline gamer stripping out the ability to fix even the most mundane things that they didn't fix in madden 12...but that's a whole other story)
          4th and 1
          you need a stop
you have no time outs and you are on a hot streak with 10 straight completions and 17 unanswered points.
You've shut down everything he's doing cheese and all....

This is as bad a any online glitch....hope patch 2 fixes it for you guys. That made me smile...thanks for posting!

Fortunately that hasn't happened to me, but I have had instances where I'll be running the ball and my ball carrier will trip over a defender or (even worse) his own teammate and fall backward and not get the first down. I kind of wish there was a way to slightly dial down the sensitivity of the physics engine. While i'm very happy with the realism, I think its too much. there are times where i'll be running the ball and get tapped by a defender and fall like I got hie by strahan in his prime and then there are times where ill hit a QB (ponder) with an monster defender (suh) and he'll shrug off the hit like it was nothing. I guess I just want more consistency.

I don't have a problem with qbs shaking off hits from suh, that is unless he's stomping their head. Lol sorry, as a bears fan I had to lol

Running through the tackles this year is a pain because guys will literally fall from touching a teammate
