Where did you see them confirm 2K13 for a midnight release on PSN? I see where they said that some of those "Day 1 Digital" games MAY have midnight releases but nothing was confirmed then.
And if the game doesn't have a midnight release and gets put on PSN later today then they still lived up to their end of the deal. It would allow you to download the game on release day.PSN: PanicshadeLWK

or support the philosophy of console digital downloads. Such a broken business model.
Plus, NBA 2k13 has DRM when DL`d from the PSStore. So your more buying a license to play the game than the actual game itself.
No internet connection? NO 2K FOR YOU!

Whoever really thinks a digital download is a better deal baffles me. DRM excluded, there are just so many other reasons to get it as a physical copy. Nothing pleases me more than ripping the game open and getting the disc out to put it in the tray. Why give that up for a "Launch now" button after a long, tedious download lol? I know most people won't care about that but I am weird

it's my first time doing it. i figured every time i trade a game in I end up with about $8 backs o playing 53 instead of 63 made sense. and i didnt feel like going the 30 minutes each way to get itWhoever really thinks a digital download is a better deal baffles me. Trust me nobody looked more than me and nowhere does it say the game will be available to download at midnight. The promotion only states that they are day one downloads and you get 10 percent off pre order if you have playstation plus. That is just one of the reasons why I got my from gamestop and I am already back home with the game.Comment

This is the announcement of that program on the blog. Nowhere in there does it mention anything about midnight.
There is a quote from a PSN staffer in the comments that reads like this:
