Exactly like me! Here the same, its an arcade game now!
Cant believe we are the only one seeing this!!!
Strange thing is, the first few games with v.1.04 were awesome games, then it went into arcade gamestyle, way to hard, way 2 fast, clunky robotic moves, the ice friction is gone...
Skating feels not natural anymore...and so on.

Cant play with 1.04! Back to v.1.00.

Do you have any easy way to capture and post a video? Even something recorded with a phone and put on DropBox/YouTube(/whatever) so that we can see what you are getting. I'd recommend rechecking your settings. V1.04 didn't change any of the things you are seeing, but that doesn't mean that there couldn't be some other strange problem going on.

Guys... If it seems "arcadish" then just use the sliders to tone some things down. Hyper speed is typically equated with "arcade." Easy fixes: lower game speed and slow down the passes.

I noticed I had to lower the goalie screen effect - seemed like everything was getting past the goalie. I feel the game plays slightly faster with this new tuner, but that can always be toned down. '

I don't see this "arcade" idea, provided some sliders get tweaked. Like any other sports video game, I create sliders by what I SEE in the game itself.... That typically means slowing things down a touch... I'd suggest putting game speed at 2...

i didnt think to record it, but if it happens again I will. I know it made changes to the goal tending, but I was surprised to see him freeze on the 2 on1 's I mentioned and the turn and throw it in the net was a shocker lol.

So I hear there is a 1.04a tuner that was released after the initial 1.04 tuner...can anyone tell me if the 1.04a has taken care of the freezing issues seen with the initial 1.04 tuner? I was having issues with freezing that's why I ask and haven't had a chance to play much the last few days. Thanks

Finally got around to playing this with the new tuner! It's awesome!

Only played one game so far, but you could tell there was an immediate difference.

I had my first 5 on 3 PP in NHL 13, too!

CPU penalties: 4
My penalties: 3

I had my first 5 on 3 pp too gopher! When it happened I couldn't believe it. In that game the Canucks gave me 7 PP opportunities. I can't recall ever receiving such rich treasure like this before in this series.

This is quickly becoming one of my favourites. I dont find this game frustrating to play. I am really enjoying it.

It plays and feels arcarde like, i dont know why.

i ll record a video to show you the dif. between my "old" v.1.00 ALLSTAR, Hardcore Tuner and the v.1.04.

I played with my friend offline in our season mode and the
first games with v.1.04 were awesome!!!! We both loooved the new tuner, way more penalties, many hits, agressive CPU and so on....
After 3 or 4 Games (i think) without changeing everything it went into arcade hockey! I stoped the game, checked the sliders ..nothing dif.
I cant tell you whats wrong and how it comes! :-(

maybe we are nuts...

i ll delete my settings/profile and start new from the ground of...
i ll test it again...

I don't have video but I just had something similar happen tonight. Playing GM Connected and was having really good games. The last set of games I scored 2 times out of 5 games. The CPU was very aggressive and quick and so was I at times. I found myself bouncing off the boards and off players at times unlike before.

I did change my settings at the main menu today and if I had to guess it would be that player acceleration went up. I will test tomorrow, had to shut down. Does changing my main settings change the settings on a GM Connected mode already in progress?

Sort of on the same topic ... but i have noticed as well that i will play 3-4 games that are great and then next day come back and all of a sudden cant score a goal for the life of me YET the sliders havent been touched !!! Last night I scored 2 goals in 4 games against the CPU in BeAGM .... but the night before I scored a total of 12 goals in 4 games LOL

first of all, sorry for my bad english. i'm from switzerland, so english is not the language which i usually need to communicate.

im playing in the Be a GM mode. i've tested all the tuners, from version 1.00 to 1.04. but it seems, that i have always the same amount of penalties. i never see a game with 4-5 penalties for each team. since i use tuner 1.04 i see about 1-3 penatlies for each team. do i have to start a new career to become the effect of all changes which came with the tuner 1.04? are there any slider settings which you can recommend me?

I don't think you need to start over.
Check that the tuner 1.04 is in effect in the settings in your current BaGM.

How long periods do you play?
On the higher end of what you see (3 penalties for each team) I'd say that's pretty darn ok if you play shorter periods, but maybe not of you play longer ones.

Also worth noting, in my opinion, it feels like when I take the lead, and outplay the CPU they are more likely to take penalties. So don't expect the CPU to take 5 penalties if they're winning 5-0.
Also, I think the fatigue has big effect, it seems penalties are more frequent when the players are tired (and gets out of position easier)...

Yup, if your getting your *** wooped by the cpu (like I usually do) they won't take any penalties, which is to be expected. Put pressure on them and then they'll start.

I play with 10min periods. So i think it's not enough when i see only 1-3 penalties for each team.

Should i increase the fatigue effect to force more penalties?

Is everyone seeing the increased penalties continue as you play more games with 1.04?

It could be an anomaly, but my first few games the CPU took 3-4 penalties each game. Now I've played a handful more and my last few games the CPU has gotten called for zero again... including at least a few pretty blatant missed calls where I was thrown to the ice while trying to get to a loose puck.

Anyway, it's still a pretty small sample size, so maybe I just had a few games with replacement refs. But I was starting to think the AI "learned" not to take penalties or something, as my penalties haven't been nearly as high as when I first downloaded the tuner. Just wondered if everyone else was still getting the penalty calls they were getting when 1.04 first came out. If so, I'm sure this is just a coincidental penalty dry spell.
