I know a lot of this was covered in the jay z production forum. But I talk about other things as well.
Not trying to troll but feels like this game is being bogged down by good ol fashioned greed. Jay Z bombarding the basketball game intros, the cluttered gaudy menus, and his face everywhere in general ( a man who doesn't play in the nba) makes me sick. There are no decent indie songs anymore I can even stand. Music taste is subjective, I can just turn it off I get that. However I am forced to see a pulsating menu reminding me of what crappy song I am muting over and over.
Being punished for playing offline with myplayer and the stupid point system is idiotic. The fact that you can pay for your points and be in the 80s/90s in seconds takes away the entire point of doing a myplayer and makes blacktop mode unbalanced.
This is like diablo 3...forced to be online always so blizzard can make more money. At least I didn't have to deal with pop stars in my menus and fighting justin bieber instead of demons in diablo 3.
This game sold millions trying to be an nba game with 2k11/12 and the rest of the series. I don't need to be brainwashed by jay z or 2k to buy an nba game. They got so freaking greedy.
Off topic but the lack of new hairstyles/tattoos/face options in myplayer made me want to turn it off when I got it last night. Intead of a twitter mode (yes more sponsors, more coprate greed. Thanks 2k) and jay z's nut stains on every menu, how about we get some customization in the myplayer mode? I can make a better looking character in 1999's wwf wrestlemania for n64. Yes you'll all say SO DON'T PLAY IT, BLAH BLAH BLAH. its a forum. I can say what I want. This game is a mess and a fine example of why I wish video games and pop culture would stop merging completely.
